Video: Vogue Italia Preview

Below is a video preview of the latest issue of Vogue Italia–the issue that features only black models and has both Tyra Banks and Toccara Jones in it! Most of the photos are absolutely gorgeous–Vogue Italia is one of the best Vogues out there.

I really like the Tyra photos (they’re at 1:35), but she looks so pale and washed out in them. I know Tyra has lighter skin and it was probably just the lighting, but it struck me as a bit odd. Toccara (she shows up at :31) looks absolutely gorgeous in her shot. Way to go Toccara!

I would have loved to see a group shot, wouldn’t you? Not even a complete one, just 3 or 4 of the models together. But I guess that wasn’t the look Vogue was going for.

GORGE!!! I couldn’t tell where Toccara was but all of the shots were amazing, can’t wait to get it. If only american mags would get the hint(aside from Allure which has used models of color for actual spreads).

I’m so glad Toccara is in Vogue she appears to be the only full-figured model in there - woo hoo, lets hear it for girls with real curves. I was rooting for her in cycle 3.
I think that was her at 2:24, I paused it and the bone structure was the same.

Toccara looks great. I thought she did as a plus size model on ANTM and feel she should have been in the top 3, even though I like Eva. That is her at 2:24 and also at :39. Although she has slimmed down, and still looks beautiful, because she is bigger than a size 0, I’m not sure how much exposure the sad modeling world will give her. I just hope she can continue to inspire young girls, instilling in them that beauty comes in all sizes and it’s better to have meat on your bones. Some of these models, with their ribs showing and knobby knees, makes me want to vomit. It just looks so very unhealthy and scary. Anywho, you go T. Keep it up young lady.
