Video: Fiercee Awards on The Tyra Banks Show

On May 14th, the same day that the America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 finale aired, Tyra Banks aired the Fiercee Awards, which celebrated the girls of Top Model past and present.
neo made a really interesting comment earlier, in that if Tyra truly wanted to celebrate the girls, the categories for prizes would have been more positive. Instead, they come across as mean-spirited and really undermine the “model” aspect of the show.
What do you think? Were these categories fun and light-hearted? Or just further proof at what a parody of modeling ANTM has become?
Definitely a parody of modeling. How can any client take any of these girls seriously with these dumb awards. Fiercee, oh please!
I feel so sorry for them. If was an ANTM contestant, I would never show up for this rubbish. You would never see successful ANTM contestants like Elyse, Mollie Sue etc attended such trash!

I honestly doubt that anyone, including Tyra, took it as seriously as others seem to be taking it. It was corny…think was completely light-hearted…like when she gave out the bedazzled Vaseline. I thought the award given to Tocarra was positive. I think the categories reflect the behavior of the girls in the context of the competiton…they are mean-spirited, nasty, conniving, melo-dramatic, b*tchy…need I go on?
IDK, hopefully this will be the first AND last Fiercees because I don’t think I can take anymore corniness ;o) It’s all in jest and taken with a grain of salt…right?
I thought all the girls who were there were working and successful. Did I miss something?
Like i said on my site, this award was corny with a huge side of corn beef. This is the most ridiculous idea Tyra and her producers ever came up with, I think she could have ran with this idea in a different way that won’t make it look so stupid. I truly hope this is the last fiercee awards. Tyra looked great anyway.

i totally agree! I would have loved to see a true celebration of ANTM and all the past contestants, and not the farce the fiercee awards were!
