Tyra Banks Wins Daytime Emmy

Tyra Banks picked up a Daytime Emmy award for her talk show The Tyra Banks Show, which took home the award for Most Outstanding Talk Show/Informative, beating out Dr. Phil and PBS’s A Place of Our Own.
I think Tyra looked gorgeous at the Emmys. Her dress was beautiful.
“I want to thank Oprah Winfrey for her inspiration,” Tyra said during her acceptance speech. “She is the queen and always will be the queen.” She also thanked her mom and everyone who works on the show with her.

I’m not a fan of Tyra’s talk show, but you can’t deny that she’s put a lot of hard work into it. Even if that hard work results in things like panty parties and Vaseline insanity.
I’m very glad to see Tyra win because I always enjoy when she interviews celebrities. But sometimes the shows she comes up with, like the one that I hate the most “where have all the black men gone”?, That is the most stupidest idea I have ever heard, and lets not forget the very stupid fiercee awards LOL. It’s like you can’t date outside your race anymore without “Fauxprah” (That’s what I call her when I hate an episode of The Tyra Banks Show) making a big deal. I still love her though. She’s entertaining so I’m glad she won.

Matthew…I take it you are either a white male or a black male that doesn’t have a clue. The issues black women have with black men is real. As a black woman, it’s something that my mother, sister, and friends talk about frequently. And just because you can’t sympathize because you can’t relate doesn’t mean you can’t be willing to listen to what these issues are about and then at least be able to empathize…that’s the entire point of talk shows: to hear where other people that aren’t you, are coming from. I think it was awesome that Tyra did that show…it’s something that is a sensitive issue in the Black community
