Tyra Banks to Undergo AIDS Test On Her Show
In an effort to further connect with her viewers, and prove that she’s as real and human as anybody else, Tyra Banks will undergo an HIV test on her show, on January 24th.
Is this something that appeals to any of you? I think it’s very noble what Tyra Banks does, and her attempt to reach out and prove her humanity. I’m not all that sure that taking a public HIV test is something that would make me rush to my TV screen to watch, though.
But I hope that it’s something that motivates others to do the same (get tested, I mean, not do it on public television…) :)

I RESPECT WHAT YOU ARE DOING.I AM A 34YEAR OLD WOMEN WHO IS LIVING WITH THE HIV VIRUS.I FOUND OUT WHEN I WAS 4MONTHS PREGENAT.THE VIRSE BEEN LIVING WITH ME FOR THE PAST 7YRS.I AM WRITING YOU BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO GET HELP TO START MY OWN PRODUTION FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS THAT ARE LIVING WITH THE VIRUS.I WANT TO SEND THEM TO COLLEGE.I NEVER BEEN ON DRUGS OR EVER SOLD MY BODY FOR ANYTHING.I WAS EFFECTED BY MY EXHUSBAND THAT I ONCE LOVED.I FEEL THAT AMERICA NEEDS TO OPEN THERE EYES AND HEART ABOUT THIS VIRUS.MY SON IS NOW 6YEAR OLD AND THE VIRUS DID NOT TOUCH HIM.GOD IS GOOD TO ME.I HAVE 2 OTHER SONS THT ARE 16 YEARS OLD AND I TALK TO THEM AND THERE FRIENDS ABOUT ALL TPYE OFF STI AND THIS VIRUS THEY CALL HIV/AIDS.IF YOU CAN CONTACT ME I WILL BE EVERY THANKFUL.I AM TRYING TO EDUCATE THE ONES THAT WANT TO LEARN AND EDUCATE THE ONES THAT DON’T WANT TO LEARN.

I think it would set a good example for viewers. Not enough people feel that it’s important to get tested, so it seems like a good idea to raise awareness.
