Tyra Banks: The Next Oprah?

In an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, Tyra bares all! All her secrets about her life as a model, that is. And it’s looking like Tyra is aiming to become the very next Oprah.
“I think it’s pretty clear she’s assuming the mantle of the next Oprah,” dished Vanity Fair’s Contributing Editor Nancy Jo Sales, who also told “Extra” that Tyra admitted she’s making herself in the image of old pal, Lady O.
“Tyra looks at Oprah as a mentor,” Sales added.
The talk show princess also recently opened up to “Extra’s” very own Jon Kelley about Oprah’s influence on her.
“She’s supported me and continues to support me and give me great advice,” Tyra admitted. “But it’s really big shoes to fill, and I don’t think I’ll ever fill them.”

Eh, in my opinion Tyra Banks will never be Oprah.
Oprah seems genuine and intelligent, she’s also been around for a very long time with loyal fans.
Tyra comes off as ditsy and fake, she also seems to like to sabotage her “guests”.
I really don’t think Tyra has the personality or the ability to FAKE a personality well enough to be anywhere near Oprah…ever. (and I don’t even like Oprah)
Christy__ a top model of Victoria’s Secret and Times Square Billboard fame, has decided NOT to return to Europe for the Spring Collection Runway Shows. (A gig no self-respecting top model would pass up.) She instead has decided to stay in Maywood, New Jersey. A town outside Hackinsack, NJ. Is Maywood, NJ the new fashion capital? Or does Christy have another motive for staying in Maywood and making a huge career mistake.
Tyra, You are a precious hearted person with her heart leading her instead of her brain. You error in your choice of programming. I measure the show you had today about well-dressed Pimps and well spoken Prostitutes–with Opray’s show several years ago on Wife Swapping.
It’s amazing to know that you are not even moved one bit in exposing the public to such demented twisted thinking. You do so much harm on airing these shows. It’s like you lake good producers…like Jerry Springer its all about sensationalism. You give such attention to these people like they are “great people” offereing such an outstanding service to the community by even having them on. Don’t you know it is like dumping week old garbage on a table in front of millions of people then saying lets…discuss it..For heaven sake both of you women…wake up!!These people are not advocating stopping their lifestyle…but celebrating it. And by being wishy washy about your presentation you do more harm than good.
