  I’m a single mother of two boys 15 and 11. I was married for 12 years, over the years my spouse started getting into drugs and we almost lost everything. My dad had to put the house in his name so we wouldn’t loose the house b/c my ex husband borrowed so much money against the house without me knowing. I have the best boys I could ask for, they have alot of respect for me and everyone they meet. Being East Indian my family had a really hard time with my divorce. They seem to worry so much about what the East Indian society will say and think. After numerous years I met someone who lives in Portland, Oregon. He is a different race (he’s african american) and we have been travelling back and forth to see one another. Two years ago we wanted to get married and my parents are so against it, he is a wonderful man, the boys became to really care about him and love him. I just don’t know what to do b/c if I choose him then my parents will have nothing to do with me.

  After my separtion, I went back to school and received my certificate and have been working now for 5 and half years with being laidoff work after the winter. This year I was told that their would not be any layoffs and I was given a notice last week that I am. I am very good employee and I work very hard at my jobs, I have been informed it’s due to shortage of work.

  Financially, I’m struggling alot b/c my ex has left everything for me to pay back and he does not pay any child support, it’s been eight years since our divorce and I have not received one payment of child support from him. This year my car is in really bad shape, the windows don’t roll down and one of them goes down everytime we close the door. The heat doesn’t work and the windows freeze and it’s so hard to drive everwhere. Tyra is there anything you suggest?? I just don’t know what do about my situation with my parents and I have tried getting a loan to get a new care and the banks will not give me one b/c of bad credit history. Thank you for listening.   I was just wondering when you are going to have a beauty pagent , for middle age women 40 and up , i think it would me a wonderful idea . I know what it feels like when you hit that 40 mark and feel like you are undesirable, i am 45 and and would like to see more women my age be recognize as still beautiful women that still got it going on .

I have a son thats a R&B singer, I Tried To Get Him On The Oprah Show ,But No Response, I Tried To Get Him On The Ellen but no response to that either AND NOT ONLY THAT I TRIED TO get him on maury show also.   Dear Tyra, My name is Theresaand I’m a 19 years old.I live in St.Louis Mo.I have a 2 year old daughter who enlightens my life and motivates me to achieve all of my dreams and goals.My dream has always been to become a model, I would love to be on America’s Next Top Model. I’ve tried going to Modeling School and Tried different modeling agencies but it seems as if they just want all your money.I was going to a modeling school and I sold candy` and pawned all my jewelry just to get in. It tore my pockets up.lol, but my mother always told me that I can be anything I want to be and that’s a model, if I didn’t make it, then I would achieve my other dream of becoming a Mortician. I’ve always had problems dealing with my self-esteem sometime I think I’m pretty and other times I don’t. Then I thought that I couldn’t become a model because maybe I’m to big, but I’ve seen your plus size models and they all are very pretty. I’m 5′8 and I wiegh 157lbs.I really believe that if I put my mind to this I know I can do it. You inspire me to forfill this dream. I watch your show all the time and I am you biggest fan. I love you so much. I would like some advice on how I can sign up for America’s Next top Model. I attend Collge right now, but I will always go back if I got a chance to do this. It means the world to me. I know I have what it takes. Please help me.I would really appreciate it.I feel like if being a model is the last thing I think about before I go to sleep and the first thing I think about when I wake then that’s what I should be.   Hello Tyra,
  I commend you for fighting back regarding the recent issues about your weight. I am 41 years old and have struggled with my weight all my life. I exercise five days a week and at a size 14, I think I have a pretty good figure. I have learned, with the help of my husband, to be more self confident in my own skin. I love fashion and have always wanted to model for plus size, but never had the confidence to look into it. If you ever consider doing a show for plus size women, I would love to be considerd. You are a beautiful woman, at any size, and I am happy that you are able to speak for all the women out their you are afraid to let their self-esteem shine!!!

  I ask you to please help me . see i’m having alot problems with my family. Every since I got with my will ex boyfriend now I left him but before he has ruin my life and seriouslly. old friends and family and old boyfriend say we don’t know you and it hurts so bad. Cause I pray to be who I was before Arturo had came into my life . I’m doing this cause I need to be a better mother and daughter and sister . to my self son and family. so lease take this as help me call. I pray you take this serouislly.I been abused every way you can imagine. I f i didn’t go to wrk twice I would get beat up. And he would beat me if i said or attepted to go home. now home and very gratful. I feel like I need to stay at somewhere for ladies to recover I love Jesus and Jacob my son more anything something hurting me inside pain and pray you can be the ones to help . help me be, me or to change for the better. may God please bless you to help me!

  I’ve been texting your site for about 6 weeks now with my story. I’m a school teacher in Misssissippi and a single parent. My son who is now 11 years old and in good health was born with a heart defect in which he had to under open heart surgery as an infant in order to live. I lived in the hospital for four months along with my mom. Physically, on me it has was hard since I’m his only parent. Since the surgery his heart has been fine but he has had other small physical problems but I’ve managed to handle them alone with the help of family in which I’ve truly been blessed. I love my family and would do anythng for them but I’m 36 and at this point in my life I want a companion. I’ve had relationships but they were extremely bad in which the last one. I was cheated on, hit on, then it was the drinking and the stealing and that’s not what I want for me and my son. We deserve the very best but some how this has killed my self-esteem. At this point in my life, I’m very unhappy with me especially the outer me. I think that somehow since I have some downfalls in my appearance that make bad choices because of how I look. I would really love a makeover. Also, I’m in desperate need of some dental work in which I just can’t afford and it’s hard because I use my mouth in my profession. I would really like to have my teeth fixed and some other body enhancements to make me feel and look better. Please, please, please help me and thanks!!!

  hi tyra my name is savana wallberg and i am writting you beacuse this is my dream. i have been through alot in my life i have went from doing drugs, dropping out of school, being put in foster care but i got through all of that. i think that if some one would only give me a chance i could make it in modeling i know so many girls say the same thing but this comes from my heart this is the only thing that i have ever wanted to do this is the one dream that i want to come true so if you can understand were i am coming from the please reply i would for ever appreciate you so please help my dream become a reality! your truly Savana Wallberg

  Hi Tyra,
  I love your show and tear up when you make someones life better. I dont know if you are still having any makeover contests but I really need one. I am a stay at home mom of two beautiful kids. Jayden whos 5 and going into kindergarten, and Kaydence whos 18mos and a handful. Jayden was born with a rare skin disease that covers his hands and feet and taking him into school has been hard for some who dont understand that its not going to spread nor will they catch it. My daughter caused me to quit my job and stay at home full time. I am not used to this, and she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 6mos and underwent surgery. I have let myself go. My teeth bug me the most. I DO NOT smile in any pictures and that really upsets me when I look back at them. I was asked to be in a wedding in June2008 and I dont want to look like the “ugly” bridesmade. I really need some help but I cannot afford anything right now. Please help, I am even open to any suggestions you may have.

  Hi Tyra I need your advice I am a single teenage mom and Im sure you have heard that is hard and it is I had to drop out of school so support my son, and Im fixin to go to cosmetology school. But really my dream is to be a model, but no body will take me serious because im only 5″2′ but I have a nice body and only weigh 105 pounds is their any hope that I may be able to get on your show americas next top model. I dont want the money or fame I just want the experience of a lifetime. I know many people write you asking you favors you must get tired, but if you can find it in your heart to help me out I would be greatfully thankful
