Twiggy Leaves America’s Next Top Model
Model Twiggy is leaving America’s Next Top Model because of "scheduling conflicts" and is being replaced by Supermodel Paulina Porizkova. I don’t think she’ll be leaving until cycle 10 so you can still enjoy the Twigster for the next few episodes of Cycle 9, but it’s so sad! I always love Twiggy’s comments.
Remember how she and Victoria fought at every panel? Are you going to miss Twiggy? And is it just me or do they look a lot alike?

I like Twiggy cause she aways seems to be so shocked by anything Miss J does. I don’t think I’ll miss her though. How attached can you get to the judges, really? Besides, that Paulina Porizkova is really hot.

I really enjoyed twiggy, she was so sweet and had such a pleasant demeanor… yet she was still able to give comments and be critical if needed. I hope her replacement is just as good.

Twiggy was good, but I think they need a more critical judge like Janice Dickenson. I hope the new girl can dish.

I love Twiggy she will be trutly missed. She may need to kick off her own show older models competing aganist the new genaration. And let me be one of the models.

Sorry, but I for one am very happy Twiggy is leaving. She frequently had criticisms about the black girls being “intimidating” or “aggressive”. That was inner racism. She probably didn’t even realize it, but it happened a lot. Good riddance. I’d rather have Janice D. back. At least she was mean to everyone equally.

It’s so sad! Of couse I’ll miss her because even though she was very sweet, she was funny and she really knew about modeling, she always gave good coments to the contestants… I love her, but I think everyone wishes good look to her

personally, i’m going to miss her terribley i loved her. she was honest, yet not a witch like Janice (hate her).
“JAAMGIRL” she was NOT racist, what she was true, if a white girl had been doing whatever it is that the contestants she said were “intimidating” or “aggresive” were doing, she would have recieved the same comment. what about tyra? she was always going on and on about how gorgeous most of the black girl’s skin is (it was), but the white girl’s that had equally beautiful skin NEVER received anything close to what the other girls got.

I stand by my point: I doubt Twiggy knew what she was saying was racism. But the words she used were a trigger for black women that I’ve spoken to.

I love Twiggy! She is adorable, and her comments were great! I’ll miss her a lot! Ithink Paulina will be ok, but not as interesting as the other judges…

How sad and shame on you Tyra for replacing Twiggy. Twiggy was such a fresh face on the judging panel. I guess Tyra felt she had to give in to the (youth image) and have a younger judge. I’m very disappointed in Tyra

Twiggy was great! I loved the variety of the judges. She was a nice addition. I enjoyed her far more than Janice. It will be interesting to see how it pans out, hope the show does’nt loose momentum.

hey i was wondering if i could interview twiggy for my school langauge arts i have loved modeling my hole life i am 13 going on 14 in 8th grade so if u know a way i could ask her like an email i would reallly like to have a chance to have like 10 to 30 mins or less just a couple q my teacher would be so amazed and i would learn alot more about modeling thank you so much

I agree with Jaamgirl….Twiggy has just a touch of ethnocentrism (wouldn’t call it racism though-she seems like she isn’t even conscious of her tiny jabs)…’guess ANTM is better off with impartial judges like Nigel and Ms. Jay…I wouldn’t take back Janice for anything…watched just a couple of eposides of her show’s fist season…it made my stomach turn the things those hopeful kids would do to please her….noone deserves to take that kinda crap from anyone.

I can’t say I’m sad to see Twiggy leaving as I really can’t stand her comments towards black girls. I think Jaamgirl was right about her as she has made my skin crawl on more than just a few occasions. It’s too obvious to be ignored and a lot of my friends share my views, so hopefully the new judge will be a bit more fair.

OK W/E with all u who hate twiggy beacuse was the best judge besides trya and she has her own fashion style!!!! (which is mod) I am going 2 truly miss her because when all the judges were putting the girls down she made fell a bit better which is important. and i love her accent!!!

I will miss Twiggy. I liked how she responded honestly to the girls. She wasn’t politically correct, just honest. Yes she said some of the black girls were aggressive and hostile. Well, d’ur, they were. People can criticize without being racist, you know. I liked her for shuddering at Jaslene’s hideous accent and nasal speaking voice. Her European sensibilities were refreshing. She was witty, smart and classy. The new one seems ok, but I’m reserving judgement until she says something. She’s been pretty quiet.

Inner-racism whatever. I am black and I am tired of other black people using the “race” card as an excuse everytime a person has something critical to say. Twiggy’s the only reason I watched ANTM.

Twiggy was a wonderful judge on ANTM. Her naivete and lack of pretense made her much more objective than Tyra. I never recognized any of her comments as “racuist”, although I think you have to have a certain sensibility to that type of thing. I have often thought that Tyra, although not “racist”, makes many more racially-oriented remarks than any of the judges. I recall a comment she made about one of the (white) girls “shaking her booty like a black girl”.

I also recall Bre, from cycle 3 (?) wearing a t-shirt that said “I like Black People”. Can you imagine the brou-ha-ha that would ensure if one of the white girls wore a t-shirt that said “I like White People”? That was outrageous to me.

TWIGGY!!! I LOVE TWIGGY! She’s my favorite model of all time. She is nice and classy but at the same time has a really funny laugh. She is not racist at ALL! If anyone is racist, that be Tyrade herself. Remember cycle 7, when Jaeda said the guy said to her that “he doesn’t like black girl”. Seriously girl, all he said was “I don’t like you” not “I don’t like black girl”. And Tyra was taking her seriously etc etc. BLAH.
But Paulina is a hottie. UUh love her. But Tyra TRIES to put down Paulina’s comments and makes Paulina looks BAD! Tyra is the real witch here. I hope they replace Nigel with someone else, and Janice Dickinson takes Tyra’s place. AWESOME. But will never happen.
