Top Models in Action: Jaslene Gonzalez

This week’s Top Model in Action was America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez. Jaslene has been working steadily since she won, shooting lots of ad campaigns and appearing in quite a few runway shows. She’s also developed a side gig being a spokesperson for both the Latino population and those who have survived abuse.
I think Jaslene has really done a lot with her ANTM win. Sure, she isn’t a high fashion model, but she’s working constantly, has campaigns and can consider herself a role model. That’s a lot more than some other ANTM winners can say!
love cha-cha diva jaslene, but she’s more like a celebrity rather than a model (similar to Eva).
Yes, Jaslene does hit the party circuit a lot but unlie say, Caridee, I think Jaslene does it to keep her face out there in addition to working. She also has a publicist, Lizzie Grubman. She models more than Eva and keeps her clothes on (unlike most of Eva’s modeling gigs). Eva really does more acting. Jaslene’s CG contract was also renewed and she’s done at least two commercials that have aired in Spanish speaking countries and stations.

And I disagree with Erin the poster. Jaslene is very High Fashion. Only High Fashion girls walk in New York runways.

I LOVE Jaslene. She is doing great and has been on a ton of covers. Also she seems to be the most grateful whenever she shows up on Trya’s talk show to model or discuss her abusive relationship.
