Top Model Poll: Fave Top Model Winner of ‘08?

Three major English-language Top Model franchises have named their winners. America’s Next Top Model has a cycle in the works for the fall (Cycle 11 premieres September 3 on the CW), but both Britain’s Next Top Model and Australia’s Next Top Model traditionally do one cycle per year.

America and Australia both crowned controversial winners this year. America’s Whitney Thompson is thought to have only won because Tyra has an agenda and it “was time” for a plus-sized model to win. Australia’s Demelza Reveley was called a bully throughout the show, and her win is thought to send a bad message to young viewers.
The latest winner, Britain’s Alex Evans definitely had a quieter climb to the top, but a lot of internet fans are reeling over the win–claiming that she was too short, too whiny and not “model material” enough to have a truly successful career.
So, all that being said, who do you think will have the most successful career? Who was the most worthy winner? If there was an International Top Model Showdown, who would come out on top?
everyone who just think about beauty will vote for demonelza. those who believe that whitney really has a message will vote for her. and alli? bad face, bad body, no message… sorry girl.
Demelza winning gives Australia a bad rep….since they do get to vote for the winner. Alex winning was a total JOKE…HUGE JOKE!! and as for Whitney she shouldn’t have landed in the bottom two 4 times…Dominique should’ve been in the bottom with Lauren and Anya should’ve been in the bottom with Fatima. Whitney definately deserved the title and she is my third favorite winner of America’s Next Top Model…so far.
All three of these winners sucked. I watch all three shows and Whitney did not deserve to win, Tyra always wanted a high-fashion girl an she gave it away by eliminating Anya. Demelza was just terrible, she’s to yound to be a model anyways. She should still be in school, and there were three girls in her cycle that should of won instead of her. Those girls being Alex, Caris, and Sam. Now for Alex, she just seems like a normal girl you see on the streets. I also dislike her because she whinned about her makeover which was not bad at all. I bet that half of the female population would of loved to have a hair cut inspired by Victoria Beckham.

I thought Whitney deserved to win ANTM, I didn’t see Australia’s next top model, but I definitely don’t think Alex should have won Britain’s Next Top Model. Apart from not being model-like, she was a complete bitch throughout the series, was far too immature and completely up herself. Together with Catherine – who was also a complete bitch – they both should have been kicked off the show. I was surprised that nothing was said to the both of them for the dreadful, childish antics they got up to – covering Steph and Rachel’s toothbrushes in bubble bath and washing up all the dishes except for Steph’s. How absolutely pathetic that was. What about when the two of them cheated during the abseiling task in South Africa – outrageous. I’d like to have seen them both slapped round the chops and slung off the show. For Lisa Snowden then to declare Alex the winner was a travesty of injustice. I, for one, hope her career is short lived.
