Top Model Musicians
The recent MySpace thug video got me thinking about the various America’s Next Top Model contestants who have parlayed into music. Not starring in music videos–making them.
I can only think of three—Tyra Banks herself, Lisa D’Amato, and Sarah Vonderhaar. Can you think of any more?
first up, we have Tyra and her infamous “Shake Ya Body” video. Tyra completely financed this project herself and one of the challenges in the second season of ANTM was starring in this video. While I appreciate Tyra’s attempt at music, I’m glad she found her true calling in the talk show world.

Next up, we have Lisa D’Amato from Cycle 5 and her brilliant video “Ace of Spades.” She made this video about a year ago. There’s several other songs on her MySpace page, if you want to go check them out.
Finally, we have Sarah Vonderhaar from Cycle 8. She revealed on ANTM that she had many passions, including photography and music. Since appearing on the show, she recorded an album and has been promoting it since its April 22 2008 release. You can check out her website for more details. Below isn’t a music video, but rather her playing live in a small bar.

i luv tyras song its very catchy. i luv saras song 2 shes really good and i didnt no that she could sing. i think lisa is terrible. i just like the backround music to a few of her songs but the lyrics are terrible.she dosent seem to be taking it seriously like sara seems to and how tyra seemed to.

hahaha oh god. none of these are very good, but i think tyra’s is best even though she should stick to what she does best. lisa’s is a joke, i still laughed though. i don’t like sarah’s at all either.
