TMSS Round One: Bre (5-3) v. Felicia (8-10)

Today’s the second day of the Top Model Summer Showdown!
This time, Bre Scullark, a top-three contender from Cycle 5, faces off against Felicia “Baby Tyra” Provost, who was eliminated early in Cycle 8.

Bre, a 20-year-old from Harlem when she tried out for Top Model, participated in Cycle 5, a cycle I like to think had tons of model potential. However, Bre is far better known for her granola bar incident than for any modeling she did on the show. Since appearing on ANTM, she’s had moderate modeling success and, according to her MySpace, is an inspiring actress. While Bre made it to the final three in her cycle, she was eliminated because the judges felt she was the weakest model of the three remaining competitors.

Felicia Provost, a 19-year-old sales associate from Houston, was the youngest contestant on Cycle 8. She was praised for her grace, athletic build and Tyra-like features on the show, but was eliminated in the fifth episode of the season because her performance kept declining. The judges saw lots of potential in her, but she didn’t gel and the competition was difficult for her emotionally. I had a really hard time finding out what she’s doing now. Does anyone know?

Bre was a psyho nutcase (she’s the one that created the drama about the granola bars if I’m not mistaken?), so she doesn’t get my vote. Felicia is cuter, but too bad she got eliminated early.

What I remember about Bre was her killer runway walk. If I remember correctly, they had her on the next season of ANTM, demonstrating how to walk on broken pavement, or something like that. It was the first time I remembered a non-winner returning to teach a lesson like that.
