The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency

by Ingrid on June 6th, 2006

janice-dickinson-modeling-agency

The New York Times gave a pretty grave review to Janice Dickinson’s new show. Actually, it wasn’t very kind to Janice Dickinson either.

“The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency” moves way too fast. Ms. Dickinson’s praying-mantis body and ravenous-looking face are disturbing when scrutinized too closely, and the producers of her new reality show on Oxygen seem to know it. In response, they don’t let the camera rest on her for even a second.

And as no one else on tonight’s premiere receives the treatment denied the marquise, we don’t get to gaze for very long at any of the models she auditions for her new agency. The show’s kind of pointless: models are for staring at.

Check out the rest of the review.

Is anyone watching it? Do you agree with the reviewer?

I like the show. It is fun and I love women who have something to say whether I agree with it or not. Janice has a lot to say, at least she has a spirit and energy. I like women who have strong personalities, It shows that they are alive and it is so interesting. Does not mean I have to agree with everything. Janice is a fun and vibrant person. I hope she succeeds! All the best to her! Medsua~~

As I watch Janice, I think of my dear friend Janis Kief. She has almost gone through the same things as Janice. My friend was invovled with things that would take too long to type down.

What I do see are two women who use the same defense mechanisms to survive. God has given this gift to many women….it just goes unrecognized.

Janice Dickinson and my friend are great women. Actually, they are survivors in its truest form, and I applaud them greatly.

p.s. It would be a blessing for both women if they could somehow meet.

    My best,

    Shirley

I am a writer…. a published author… I am not going to state my true opinion about the models, Janice, you seem to be okay at times, but I usually turn the channel when I see all this fake crap that is pretending on tv. Why can’t everything run like a normal show? Your models need to grow up a bit.

We watch JD here in Singapore and Japan it seems alright! entertaining!. when your a female and have strong opinions, ideas, and your outspoken abouth it, people sees you as a b*@ch, ugly.. but if you are a man they will say your brillant your smart… unfair!. I never like any modeling reality shits but I am entertained by this one. So I’ll watch it!

Why does everyone have to be such a put on? These girls are ridiculous, they want to cry like a spoiled kid when they don’t get their way, why stop there, get in the floor and kick your feet.
I know it is all scripted, but come on. Everyone wants to always blame someone else, the stupid jealousy antics, and no one wants to see or hear that it’s a black thing when the black girl doesn’t get her way…. We are no longer selling people anymore, that went away many moons ago, and we are certainly not in Kansas! For everyone who wants to be treated the same, then act like it… WHY CAN’T THESE GIRLS JUST BE HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY HAVE AND QUIT WANTING WHAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS. LIFE IS A GIFT NOT A TOY. TV is hurting severely when it needs shows like this one to be put on the air.

I sometimes I end up with a interview and I know more than they do I guess they don’t like that very much ,but thats something I think that what they should like to hire a Woman that knows what is going on in this world today .I get interviewed sometimes by men they don’t like when you know to much I feel they want us woman to sit and answer there questions and say just yes and no ,I ask about the company and other opportunity to discuss this position and especially with corporate information and they look at me like I have two heads . I like Janice just fine, it’s the people she hires. Come on Janice, you know where your heading but these people hired to work for you…. They lack in all the areas where common sense and a little brains come in. They need to get a life and quit all this complaining and giving someone else down the road simply because they want what the other has. Scripted or not, these people are not beautiful, beautiful comes from the inside out and face it, there might be one that has what it really takes to be a model.
I am a writer and don’t sugar coat it for anyone.

    thanks,
    penny
