My favorite part is when she gives advice to contestants on the next season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, should they ever be inspired by Tyra. (There has to be a second season!):

The key to a drag queen doing me is overdoing me. You’ve got to go all the way over the top, times 10. First of all, get a honey brown weave or wig, some green contact lenses, and some big-ass chicken cutlets to stuff the bra. You also need a killer runway walk, but that weave has to be fly. The bigger the better, but quality is key — no cheap weave hair! And always be ready to smile with your eyes — “smize” — at the drop of a hat.

I’m over smize and this week’s Top Model was the first time I ever heard it.

I’ll admit, I was in for something great – like she’d be bald or have the Mia Farrow cut she loves giving Top Model girls. In the end, her hair was natural and she was beautiful.

Tyra earned points for her television domination, including Top Model and the reality television shows Stylista and True Beauty.

Unsurprisingly, Oprah Winfrey came in at #1 with $275 million. Also topping Tyra were Dr. Phil ($80 million); Dave Letterman ($45 million); Ellen DeGeneres ($35 million); and Jay Leno ($32 million).

Rounding out the rest of the top ten were Regis Philbin ($27 million); Rachael Ray ($15 million); Conan O’Brien ($15 million) and Jon Stewart ($14 million).

Tyra has more plans in the works to further her domination. She’s launching an online magazine this week!

On September 8th, TyraBanks.com will be re-launched as an online magazine. Tyra told OK Magazine:

I’m starting an online magazine that is coming out Sept. 8 on Tyra Banks.com. I’m so excited about it… It’s more from my point of view. The show is going to be on specific topics on a daily basis, this goes a little bit deeper to talk to the community — We cover beauty, fashion, self-esteem, relationships, just like the talk show does but in a more personal way because the user can go back and forth with me. I’m also going to be discovering stars. I’m going to discover models there, I’m going to be discovering people who work behind the scenes, doing a lot of mentoring and it’s fun.

This sounds like an interesting venture and a great way for Tyra to connect with fans and share her opinions. She’d been loving her Twitter account (@tyrabanks), so this is a natural next step.

Tyra won the “Talk Show – Informative” category. The other big talk show winners were Rachael Ray, who took home “Talk Show – Entertainment” and The View, who upset four-time winner Ellen DeGeneres for “Best Talk Show Host.”

Tyra looked great in a shorter almost bob-like hairstyle and a one-shouldered coral dress. It’s one of her best looks!

Yesterday on Twitter, Tyra promised that she was going to go au naturel during the September 8th premiere:

Guess What! I’m rockin’ my REAL hair on my talk show September 8th. No fake hair at all! Will be the hair coming out of my scalp! 4 all 2 C!

I’ve always thought Tyra was bald under all that fake hair. I guess not. She continued her weave-free tale, twittering:

no ponytails, no ballet bun head. hair will be out and free!

I’m very excited to see this. What do you think Tyra’s real hair looks like?

Tyra’s character is somehow connected to Hilary Duff’s character. Hilary is doing a multiepisode guest spot as a famous actress who wants a normal college experience and becomes Vanessa’s roommate at NYU.

My guess? Tyra plays Hilary’s overbearing manager or agent or similar.

Tyra has appeared as herself in a few films recently, including Hannah Montana: The Movie and Tropic Thunder. Her last real acting gig was a guest role in 2004 on American Dreams.

However, nothing will ever top the 2000 ABC Family classic Life-Size, which also starred Lindsay Lohan. How could you forget an instant classic like “Be a Star?” Let me refresh your memory…

Tyra will make her GG debut in the 4th episode of the season. If this is true, it’s a smart move. Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model will premiere on September 9th. Gossip Girl premieres on September 14th.

Tyra isn’t the first ANTMer to appear on Gossip Girl. Cycle 7 winner CariDee English appeared in an episode briefly as one of Bart Bass’s many model girlfriend and Ann Markley was in an episode, as one of Chuck Bass’s girlfriends.

Tyra was also number three in overall earnings for women in media, as she made $30 million last year. She was topped by Oprah, who raked in $275 million, and Ellen DeGeneres, who made $35 million.

These women’s influence was determined by their audience, press mentions, earnings and social media outreach.

Not surprisingly, Oprah Winfrey was number one, closely followed by Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters and Ellen DeGeneres.
