Twitter is the latest craze in social networking. It’s a microblogging platform that limits your updates to 140 characters. Through it, you can connect with people around the world. I’ve compiled a list of former contestants on America’s Next Top Model that currently have Twitter accounts. While some of their authenticity has yet to be verified, it would seen silly to create a fake Twitter account for an ANTMer from three or four cycles ago, don’t you think?

Toccara Jones the plus-sized-contestant-turned-reality-show-expert-turned-Vogue-Italia-superstar has gotten fit and wants to help you do the same! Toccara has released her very own workout DVD, geared towards “real size women.” Titled “Toccara’s Fabulous Workout“, it promises to provide real women a doable, effective workout that allows you to become “healthy, fit and fabulous.”

Right now, the video is only available through the official website. It’s currently priced at $19.99 and includes free shipping. Juding by the teaser video, the workput doesn’t seem that challenging, but maybe that’s the point. By showing women that working out and getting fit is attainable, easy and even fun, they can perhaps move on to bigger and better things once Toccara whips them into shape.

I must admit, as cheesy as the video looks, Toccara looks healthier and fitter than ever. Maybe she’s putting everything she learned from Celebrity Fit Club and Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp to work.

This cycle, the CW has added a new feature to every America’s Next Top Model episode! It’s called “Top Models in Action” and every week a former ANTM contestant is highlighted and we check in to see what they are doing now.

Naturally, they started with Toccara Jones, the vivacious plus-sized model from Cycle 3. Toccara has been working non-stop since her time on ANTM and recently did a 14-page spread for the infamous all-black issue of Vogue Italia. Toccara had more pages than any other model, including Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell.

Toccara is fantastic, I’m so glad her career is doing well.

Toccara Jones is on the list of celebrities who will make a special appearance at the BET Foundation’s Summer Camp for Girls this year. The camp, which runs from July 20-27, is designed to teach young African-American girls (ages 10-12) about healthy living, responsible choices and the importance of self-esteem, confidence and personal identity.

Other guest celebrities include Keri Hilson, Tiffany Evans, Teyanna Taylor and Miss Black USA, Kristen White. The celebs will be there to share their experiences and offer the girls advice and support.

I think it’s fantastic that Toccara is taking part in this camp. Not only has BET been great to Toccara throughout her career, she’s an inspiring role model for young girls everywhere. All you have to do is look at her recent Vogue spread to see that being confident, true-to-yourself and willing to work hard is all you need to get places.

Below is a video preview of the latest issue of Vogue Italia–the issue that features only black models and has both Tyra Banks and Toccara Jones in it! Most of the photos are absolutely gorgeous–Vogue Italia is one of the best Vogues out there.

I really like the Tyra photos (they’re at 1:35), but she looks so pale and washed out in them. I know Tyra has lighter skin and it was probably just the lighting, but it struck me as a bit odd. Toccara (she shows up at :31) looks absolutely gorgeous in her shot. Way to go Toccara!

I would have loved to see a group shot, wouldn’t you? Not even a complete one, just 3 or 4 of the models together. But I guess that wasn’t the look Vogue was going for.

Toccara Jones attended the 2008 BET Awards and after-party on June 24 in Los Angeles. She really glammed up for the red carpet–those earrings must weigh a ton!

Toccara’s career has been on an upswing. She appeared in this month’s issue of Vogue Italia and just finished a stint on the All-Stars version of Celebrity Fit Club. I wonder what new projects she has in store.

I love the dress and think it fits her really well, but I’m not a fan of her hair. What do you think of her look? Yay or nay?

Cycle 3’s Toccara Jones, arguably one of the most successful ANTM candidates ever (in the entertainment industry, not necessarily the modeling industry) is going to appear in the July issue of Vogue Italia, according to Fashionista. The single photo, which was shot by Steven Meisel and will feature Toccara in fur and lingerie.

It’s a special shoot for Vogue’s “ethnicity” issue, but what an opportunity for Toccara–and for the Top Model franchise! Not many other American Top Model contestant has appeared in a Vogue Italia. Anchal Joseph appeared in French Vogue before ANTM and Mollie-Sue has appeared in a few different Vogues since her stint on the show, but that’s all I know of!
