ANTM Finalist CW Lounge Interviews
November 24, 2008 by Erin Balser
McKey Sullivan, Samantha Potter and Analeigh Tipton all visited the CW Lounge last week to answer your questions. Thankfully, these videos were put up on Youtube so I could share them with you!
Here’s McKey. She’s asked about what it feels like to win and how she kept quiet for a few months while the show aired!
Sam and Anleigh are below the jump!
ANTM 11.13 “America’s Next Top Model is…” Bonus Clips
November 22, 2008 by Erin Balser
Here are the bonus clips for the finale of America’s Next Top Model. The girls shot their Covergirl commercial, where Analeigh surprisingly tanked. Samantha and McKey moved on to the Dr. Seuss-styled runway involving hills and stairs and insanity, but in the end it was McKey who was crowned the winner!
In this first clip, McKey talks about how shocked she was to see Marjorie in the bottom two. She really thought it was going to be Sam instead.

ANTM 11.13 “America’s Next Top Model is…” Commercial
November 21, 2008 by Erin Balser
Like every season, the final three in America’s Next Top Model had to film a commercial for a Covergirl product. This cycle, it was Wet Slick lip gloss. The final commercial is below. I’m really not a fan, it looks cheap and amateur. This isn’t the girls fault, the production value is really low.
My favorite final 3 Covergirl commercial was Cycle 7 with CariDee, Melrose and Eugena. I’m not entirely sure why. Maybe it was the giant, full skirt? Or the fact I loved Eugena so?
Here’s the commercial:
What do you think? Who stood out the best?
ANTM 11.13 “America’s Next Top Model is…” The Runway
November 21, 2008 by Erin Balser
The runway on the finale of America’s Next Top Model was insane! It was pink and long and had hills and stairs. Jay clearly had Sr. Suess in mind when he put this together.
Unlike runways in seasons past (Cycle 7 and 8 were absolute disasters), I thought this candy land, as crazy as it was, worked. I liked how all the models and and “whoa” moment at the top of each hill. It was powerful and fun to watch. An this crazy runway tied in well with the fashion and aesthetic of the designers and photo shoots they did in …read more
Top Models in Action: Anya Rozova
November 21, 2008 by Erin Balser
The final Top Model ins Action this cycle was Cycle 10’s runner-up Anya Rozova. Anya has been working constantly since Cycle 10 ended and seems to be carving a nice niche out for herself in Hong Kong. I think she has the potential to have an Elyse-style career.
What I love is that while Anya was the final TMIA, Whitney’s My Life as a Cover Girl ad was bland and boring and said nothing-literally! It’s as if it’s a nod to the fact they chose the wrong winner last cycle. I love Anya and hope she has a long, successful career.
Whitney Thompson My Life As a Cover Girl: Episode #11
November 20, 2008 by Erin Balser
Here’s Whitney Thompson’s final My Life as a Cover Girl ad. It’s a wordless montage looking back at her time as a top model. I think this final commercial is an admittance that Whitney is not-and never will be-top model material. She has a niche market and will be successful in that, but she doesn’t have the skills or personality to truly push the boundaries of fashion.
That being said, these commercials were the most beautifully done of all the MLAACG commercials. It’s just a shame they didn’t have a better subject to work with.
Top Models in Action: Kim Stolz
November 18, 2008 by Erin Balser
Last week’s Top Model Action was cycle 5 contestant Kim Stolz. Kim now works as a correspondent for MTV news. I love Kim and would argue that she’s one of the more successful girls to come out of the ANTM franchise, but her success is in television, not modeling. Can she really be considered a “top model in action”?
Who do you think will be the Top Model in Action next week? It’s the finale, so they should pick someone super successful or with the perception of super success.
ANTM 11.13 “America’s Next Top Model is…” Preview II
November 15, 2008 by Erin Balser
Here’s another preview of the finale of America’s Next Top Model. It shows the hot pink runway the girls have to walk on and it just looks insane! There are hills and it’s very Dr. Seuss–Jay’s description is pretty much right on. It’s going to be a lot of fun watching the girls navigate this runway.
That being said, such a ridiculous runway may negatively hinder the outcome of the show.
What do you think? Which two girls are going to get a chance to work it here?
ANTM 11.12 “Good Times & Windmills” Bonus Clips
November 14, 2008 by Erin Balser
Here are some bonus clips from this week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model. The final four battled it out as they auditioned for a commercial and had a photo shoot in front of the windmill. It wasn’t all work, as a few of them let loose at a party at their house.
Miss the episode? Read the recap here.
In this first clip, Samantha wants to send a photo of herself to someone (I couldn’t catch who) in her windmill outfit.

ANTM 11.13 “America’s Next Top Model is…” Preview
November 13, 2008 by Erin Balser
Next week is the season finale of cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model We are down to the final three, but the girls have a commercial and a fierce hot pink runway to go through before one of them can be crowned the winner.
Tyra’s short weave is crazy. I wonder if it really will be the “harshest judging ever.”
I want McKey to win, but my money is on Analeigh. If they have a commercial to shoot, you know Analeigh will rock it. Mu guess is the final two will be Analeigh and McKey. Commercial vs. editorial. Tough vs. sweet. …read more
