Questions from Canada’s Next Top Model Applications

Someone at the CNTM LJ community tracked down some of the official questions asked Canada Top Model contestants, and here are some choice ones:

27a. How often do you get drunk? How do you act when you get drunk?

45. Do you have a temper? How often do you lose your temper? What provokes you?

48. When was the last time you hit, punched, kicked, or threw something in anger? Please provide the details.

59. What types of people would you NOT choose to live with you in the house?

I can just picture the judges going, “Mmhmm, so she likes to attack people with knives when she’s drunk, and she’s provoked by mohawks. Great. Get that mohawk’d girl in there, and we’ll be set.”

    Hey.. OMG what a piss off… U have to be atleast 5′7″ to actually be applicable. I mean i do understand models have to be tall, but there are also petite models.. Right..? I really find this unfair.. iam 5′4″ and thin.. and dyin to be on the top model show. Maybe they should concider changing their rules. ( Look at Jessica Simpson, and even Eva Longoria they are both 5′3 and still so hot..) I really hope they can concider changin their rules. What do u people think.. ? Any suggestions?

    I wanted to know how to apply for the next season of Canada’s Next Top Model.

    J Beker is a poor choice for a judge.
    She has always had a trashy sense of style, from her early days of interviewing rock stars to her endorsments of colored fishnet stockings on a fairly receint talk show. Just because she works in the fashion world means she is good at it.

    I’m surprised that the grand prize is a contract with Sutherland Models. This is one of those agencies/modelling schools that actually charge you to sign with their agency. They will take anyone into their school who will pay the fee. With agencies in Toronto like Ford, Elite and Next why Sutherland…Sutherland who? Not much of a prize but I suppose the TV exposure is good.

    Did none of you read that the person who posted this stated they have NO affliation with the show? Seriously…

    Watch the show, watch for commericals, and check the website. They’ll tell you there when season 2 is taking auditions.

    I would just like to say Andrea the winner of Canada’s next top model was not a good choice at all. she looks like she has a eating disorder. way to skinny and I feel the message being sent to all the young girls out there is not a good one. I don’t know how anyone can think that look is beautiful. It is very unhealthy looking and I feel they could of picked a better choice then her. no wonder so many young girls have eating problems. Just look at the role model they are looking up to. Bad choice. Andrea needs to put a little meat on the bones.

    For people who want information on applying for canada’s next top model just wait… serioulsy. When they do give out information and the application it will probally be on the citytv website like it was last time. Who knows if they will advertise it because they didn’t really last time and the deadline for applications were Dec 31th 2005 and they show was taped feburary into march and then aired at the end of may, so if they do a second one u will have to hand in the application way before they air anything about the show so just keep checking city tv websites every once and a while.

    Ok girls… listen up. Here’s the scoop. I was in contact with someone from CHUM who said that they weren’t planning on running another cycle of Canada’s Next Top Model. They said that the only way they would consider running another cycle would be if they had enough e-mails/letter requesting it or writing in support of it. To do this is really easy. All you have to do it go to either the CHUM or CityTV website and click on the icon; “Contact”. This will give you direct e-mail addresses to the big-wigs who decide this sort of stuff. I feel the same as everyone else; I really want to apply, so let’s make this happen! Get those e-mails in! Later!!!

    I think all the ‘next top model’ cycles are great opportunities… but the height limit sucks! I want to audition since i got the idea from a random person coming up to me saying ‘you should be a model’… but what pisses me of its im only 168cm…and here in Australia the min height is 170cm… how shit is that. THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE RULES!

    I am from Robeson County trying to find out how to audition for America’s Next Top Model. I have watched several shows and I would love to have the experience that those girls have. I am 5 feet 11 inches I think I would be an exception and if chosen I would do my very best.     My name is Amanda and people have told me i would make a good model, I don’t know if I totally agree with them but I would like to try it. I live in Canada and I am 5′7, 140 lbs and 13 years old. I have blonde hair and I’m not like the skinniest person in the world but I like trying new thing and being on a tv show would be awseome! I don’t get nervous that easy so I wouldn’t have a nervous break down on stage or on a runway.     i have a asian friend and she has a runway models body. she is so slim and tall which is rare for asians. there was only the one asian that i dont believe she represented us very good. i am trying to find out what she needs to do to get applications so she can get accepted to canadas next top.

    I’m just starting out in a the modeling agency and I think I would be great for Canada’s Next Top Model. I am 6′7” and so I would quialify as a plus sized model although I am not overweight.     for the girl who was asking why cant they change their rules
    the reason they want you to aleast be 5′7 is because desingers look for tall models
    you dont see many short models on the runway

    Oh course there would be a height restrictions. And they wont be changing the rules. Ever! It is VERY important to be at least 5′7. Looking long adn lean is what they love. Weight on the other hand is not as important. I say if you meet the height requirements, and you look great in pictures, apply! You need to be proportionate.

    Ok people. Stop asking the same question! You can go to http://www.citytv.com to find the application, at the END of this season! It won’t be posted until the end. Check the site around September, it will be there. As for requirements… That should be easy for you to figure out. At LEAST 5 foot 7 inches. And 18-27 years of age. you have to be a resident of Canada, and finally make sure that you are proportionate. Dont apply if you dont meet these requirements, because its important!     Well that is tall, but if you are proportionate, I would say apply!! There are models who are 6′1, so you never know!

    You can but chances are slim. Sorry I know only because I am almost too short. I’m 5′8.5, but try anyway, kate moss is short. But since you are not tall, make sure you are big and bold in other areas!! You need to work the hardest!

    I’ve been told by many people that I should be a model and that was right after i started watching ANTM and then CNTM came out and I was soo happy…So you’re sure that in september is when the applications for CNTM will come out? Do they change cause i’ve already seen last years application but i wasn’t and i’m still not old enough but there’s no point in waiting 2 more years when you can have it all filled out and looking nice now right?

    For the love of God, I could smack half of you. First of all, if you would have taken a few minutes out of your oh-so-busy day perhaps you would have read at the TOP of this blog that she, in no way, has any affiliation to Canada’s Next Top Model. How do you expect to ever be accepted onto the show if you can’t even read? Are you going to skim over the application just to get the information that you want? I think not. Have a little respect for people who are trying to do US a favor.

    The application WILL be posted on citytv, as per usual, at the END of the season. If you’re still concerned about it not being there, go onto the citytv website & click “Contact Us.” Send them an e-mail & ask them what’s going on. Someone will respond to you.

    As for the girl that’s 5′5 & a half. I wouldn’t bother wasting your time filling out the application, as I’ve heard it’s 30-something pages long. The rules are strict, and they wont bother taking you, no matter how pretty/thin you are. They’ll have many more girls that fit the requirements that they’d rather take. Not to be harsh, but that’s reality.

    You must be between 18 - 30 years of age. “Sunshine”, modeling isn’t about LOOKING great, it’s about taking great photographs, being able to handle the pressure, doing commercials, being able to do MANY things. Haven’t you ever seen ugly models? They’re there. Jaslene, for instance, she wasn’t that pretty at all.

    The application for cycle three is NOT out yet.

    That’s good enough for the judges. You must be at least five foot seven to enter. =] I’m 5′11 & 125 lbs, so I’d say we’re both pretty good applicants. =P

    If you would have bothered to read up a few posts, you would have noticed that near the end of September is USUALLY when they’re available, however, keep checking citytv & cntm.com.

    Last year The deadline was December 31st and if that’s the way it’ll work this year, that’s not going to be enough time.

    Ashley - settle down. It’s understandable that you’re frustrated, but you can only do and say what you can. Making fun of people and being condescending never helped anything, so just take it easy … and why do you care anyhow?? If people don’t read, then people don’t read - the end.

    To everyone else, I would continue to be hopeful … you never know … as previously suggested, I keep checking CityTV and the CNTM website every day. If there will be another cycle, it will be there for certain and just make sure to jump on it when it appears there… remember, part of this contest is about handling pressure, so they might not, and don’t have to, give much time for everyone to get their applications in … if you want it badly enough, you’ll get it in …

    Is this method of inquiry helping anyone to obtain information on the application process for CNTM? Has anyone recieved word on the next round of applications? I would appreciate very much an honest answer from the next blogger who is able to testify a having been able to recieve an application via this site. Otherwise, I would be so thrilled to hear from the operator of this blog when and where I can sign up for the next season’s auditions.     The first place you’ll see if there will be another season of CNTM is on http://www.cntm.ca - you won’t hear it here first, or anywhere else for that matter … so just check http://www.cntm.ca regularly, and that’s all you can do. So far there’s nothing.

    If you go to wikipedia and search Canada’s next top model, it shows that the 3rd cycle is TBA - so the applications most likely aren’t available yet…

    Same here, I would really want to find out when it starts. I want to sign up my sister, she is gorgeous, and everyone says how she should go in modeling.
