Jodhi Meares is “Not a Chicken”
Jodhi Meares, the host of Australia’s Next Top Model did not appear on the show’s live finale, which aired on tuesday. A lot of people think she backed out because she was embarrassed about her performance in cycle 3’s live finale (see videos here) and clearly favored eventual winner Demelza Reveley.
However, her spokesperson has come out and said that Jodhi never agreed to a live finale appearance and therefore was not “backing out” of anything.
“From the beginning Jodhi never agreed to do a live show of that scale,” Ali Hainsworth said said in a statement for Jodhi. “It needs to be put out in the open because to throw something like that on someone wasn’t entirely fair.”
I don’t care if she agreed to it or not, not doing it is absolute crap. I think Jodhi was a good host, she was involved and fairly level-headed (albeit,a bit boring), but I really hope that AusNTM’s producers don’t ask her back after this stunt. How immature is she?
Rumor is that, if Jodhi is ousted, current judge Charlotte Dawson would be named judge. I’m unsure as to the truth behind this, but I’d love to see that! Charlotte is vivacious and honest and would take AusNTM in a completely different direction.
Jodhi’s no-show wasn’t the only controversy of the finale. The winner Demelza Reveley caused quite a stir too!

I actually never thought she was that bad at the last live finale. She just seemed nervous, not a trainwreck as the media described her.
But i was disappointed that she did not even show. Okay… let Charlotte host, but why not just make an appearance to be a judge? That was just weird. She did not even name a choice in her video message?
I do like Jodhi though. Is it true that she helped secure the Vogue sponsorship or was that just a rumour?

I’d just like to say that the media here make me ill. All these headlines about “no-show”etc. Are our countries media really this bored and hung up for a story.
Go find some real ones please that don’t involve putting people down.
I am a huge fan of Jodhi Meares and all of her work. She is great at hosting ANTM, she obviously is one smart, intuitive and beautiful woman.
Much more interesting to watch than Charlotte (no offence, I like Charlotte),however there is something more personal and inviting with Jodhi. She seems more “real” and seems to develop a bond with all the girls. She should stay on Aus TV as there a definite need for people like her here.
Who cares if she decided not to host the final, she obviously had her reasons and we should all just respect that.
We are all only human and
sometimes ” the media” should look up the word “perspective” in their trusty dictionarys.

I didn’t have a problem with jodhi in season 3 but this season she was a joke. And according to Fox8 they intend to bring her back and have no intention of replacing her. If they want to do the live finale they need a host/judge that will step up and do what she was hired for. When jodhi agreed to host season 4 didn’t it cross her mind to ask if they were planning on doing another live finale and if so step down then rather than causing the shit storm she did when she just didn’t show up at all?
