First Annual Fiercee Awards to Air May 14th!

The Fiercee Awards, which celebrate the contestants from the ten cycles of America’s Next Top Model will finally make it to the air! The segment, which was filmed almost a month ago in NYC, will be part of the Wednesday May 14th episode of The Tyra Banks Show.

Top Model winners like CariDee English, Saleisha Stowers, Jaslene Gonzalez and Nicole Linkletter will present awards to the cast members for categories like “Ugliest Cry,” “Makeover Meltdown,” “Craziest Phone Call,” “Worst Walks and Wipeouts” and “Most Dramatic Exit.” They will also present a lifetime achievement award for the “fiercest” contestant ever.

My question is how they will turn this into an annual thing? Honor each cycle individually? That seems silly.

Do you find that the nominees are fairly later-cycle heavy? And why so few categories? What categories would you have added? And how does Kim of this cycle even get a nomination? She was on the show for a single episode and the entire episode foreshadowed the fact she wanted to leave! Why isn’t Cassandra (Cycle 5) in biggest makeover meltdown? She left the show because of her makeover!

Other possible nominees: Catie for ugliest cry (cycle 2), Tiffany for most dramatic exit (if only because Tyra went insane) and Sarah (Cycle 5) for worst wipe-out (the girl fell every time!). Who would you add?

I think that Tyra probably stipulated the girls had to attend the show in order to be nominated. That would explain some oversights in nominees as well as the heavy representation of cycles 6-9.
