Finale of Modelville

Yesterday was the finale of Modelville, Tyra Banks’s show-within-the-show for former contestants from America’s Next Top Model. Fatima Siad, Bianca Golden, Renee Alway, Lauren Utter and Dominique Reighard were living together and competing for a Carol’s Daughter contract-very much like ANTM.
The winner was crown yesterday and I won’t spoil it for you! Videos are below!

i skipped my last class and soccer to watch this, which is super sad. but…it was actually dramatic. which i loved. i was not surprised that lauren quit, or that she has an old-ass boyfriend. i think everybody improved over their terrible commercials on the actual show. the winner actually kind of deserved it, even though her commercial seemed very i-love-the-whole-world. i think overall fatima’s was best, because even though it was quite uninteresting, so is she, so at least it was real. if they do this again, though, they need to bring back serious people and not lauren who takes good pictures and that’s all.

I think the right person won based on the commercials. Renee’s was too boudoir, her hair looked bad and her voice grates; Binx ruined hers with that growl at the start; Fats’ hands looked like they were glued to her hair and she barely remembered to show the actual product; Dom scrunched up her face and maybe used her hands too much but her spot was the best. Also, Lauren quitting was not shocking; she’s never seemed to take modeling seriously anyway and she claims she didn’t know it was a talking gig. I think Binx and Fats are young enough and not tied down with children/husbands to be able to do the hustle as far as modeling goes. Dom and Renee are stuck and look old for models. Neither of them seems to think that maybe they should look for different work and seem a bit delusional. I think Renee was a bad sport and Tyra (you know it was Tyra) should have ignored her instead of manipulating Lisa Price into working with Renee. She steals Dom’s moment by being a bad winner and gets a gig to boot; not cool. I think if this is done again they need to get girls who might have an actual shot instead of concentrating so much on personality which was the only reason those five were picked in the first place.
Dominique? Really?? I thought it was going to be Bianca for sure! Since the show, she has really grown on me. Her voice is also very similar to Naomi Campbells.
