Demelza Reveley “Not Ready” for International Circuit
October 15, 2008 by Erin Balser
Demelza Reveley, the winner of the last cycle of Australia’s Next Top Model has been deemed “not ready” to face the international modeling circuit by her management team, Priscilla’s Modeling Management.
“She’s just turned 17 and she’s too young and we are not sending her over there yet,” Priscilla Leighton-Clark, told the Herald Sun.
“She has all the enthusiasm in the world but as her agent I’m not letting the horse out of the stable just yet.”
I think this excuse is bull. Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, and even fellow Aussie model Myf Shephard are all young. If Priscilla said her modeling skills or body was not up to par, or if Demelza and her family thought she was too young, I’d accept that. But in an industry where youth is revered and age is largely irrelevant to walk the catwalk, I find this a transparent attempt to maintain the AusNTM franchise abroad, with Alice Burdeu dominating runways as she had the past couple seasons.
What do you think? Is Priscilla doing the right thing by waiting for Demelza?

Funny. Cause she looks 30 and pregnant in that photo. Surely she doesn’t look so young that you can tell off the bat and at what age was TyTy off to Paris anyway?
Demelza not ready not because she is too young, but because she’s too big to be an international model. They know she would flunk and not be booked, so why sent her? Stop eating chocolates and tone up Demelza.
During the whole cycle they made comments about her size and the weight she was carrying around her hips. The reason they aren’t sending her out there is because she’s too big for international modeling and wouldn’t get booked, they are so full of bull.
