Cycle 11 Contestant Joslyn Involved in Modeling Scam

Before succesfully auditioning for America’s Next Top Model, Joslyn was a victim of a reality television modeling scam Dateline covered a few months ago. The whole story is really creepy and scary.

Basically, aspiring models were lead to believe that they were selected to participate in a model reality competition, but this was merely a ruse for the “producers” to take advantage of the participants during taping–making rude sexual comments and attempting to coherse the contestants (both male and female) into sleeping with them.
“He started saying “Yeah, you gotta be comfortable with guys. and you gotta– you should sleep together with a guy just so you get comfortable being around them,’” one contestant remembers. “And I was like, I’ve done modeling in the past and there was never been nothing like that before. And then he was finally like, ‘Well, why don’t you come lay down with me?’”
This is really scary stuff and I’m very impressed with Joslyn. She not only went public with this very scary experience, she never gave up on her dream. Now she’s on ANTM.

I remember when Tyra dedicated a whole episode to modelling scams, people were criticizing her saying she thinks she knows everything. Well looks at this, it does happen. I feel so bad for her. Creepy people out there
After reading the article, why does the guy doesn’t get arrested by the police?
OMG!! After watching this, I was thinking – why did these contestants carry through until the very end? Especially when they were both sexually and mentally abused by this creep. You would think that your dignity and self respect is worth more than a stupid reality show. It’s quite disturbing.
I read the whole article, and it’s super creepy! I would have been scared for my life. I’m glad she has a legit chance now.
