Contestants Chat about ANTM Cycle 13 NYC Auditions

Three girls who attended the New York casting call for Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model appeared on the Today show on Monday morning. The disorganized event and lax security, coupled with an unexpectedly large crowd and high tempers, resulted in chaos. The police weren’t informed about the event. A stampede left clothes everywhere and dozens of girls trampled. Six people needed medical attention and three people were arrested for disorderly conduct.
10,000 girls showed up for the 5′7″ and under cycle. An overheated car and a fight between two men caused lots of panicked girls to call “gun!” “fight!” or “fire!”.
The Today host then took a few minutes to get first hand accounts of three girls who were there. The talk about what they saw and how panicked and scared they felt throughout the entire thing.

I think this is a really sad event and that it reflects poorly on Tyra and the ANTM producers and organizers. They’ve been doing this for so long, you think they would know how to better plan, organize and prep for these events.
I’d like to say, I pray all the young ladies were ok in the New York nightmare audition on Sat 14. I was told there was an audition in New Jersey.
Is this the first audition for the 5′7 and under?
I have a friend with a daughter who is also auditioning for the 5′7 and under.
When is the next make up audition? Will this also be in New York?

This young woman auditioning for the 5′7 and under next top model, is a beautiful person with personailty, beauty and brains, I’m sure she could be the next top model. Only time will tell.

I just want to say this is an amazing oppurtunity and a break in fashion history. Im so happy that i can one day tell my children that i did not only live through this when it was the first time someone has tried something new but i tried out for it. Goodluck to everyone and just remember to live in the moment and apprieciate every moment of our time (5′7 n under) to shine. lets do it!

well i didn’t c that girl that said that was in the fron of the line I was in The front 2 and when it got crazy I just push back cuzz i didn’t want to get hurt the females that had heels look it like it would kill you jees!
but I had a great time before that happen meet alot of great girls and they have the face 2

if anything, these girls made themselves get out there more than anything. there is no way they ruined their chances. they are all very beautiful.

In the requirements that they give you it specifically says you CAN NOT have any type of conversation with the MEDIA/PRESS about ANTM!

Anyways, they wanted to tell their stories, which they did HOWEVER they will NOT be contestants on cycle 13. They already ruined any chace they may have had.
They got more than you. I heard that they got paid $1000.
They also definitely have a chance at being ANTM, you just must be very jealous.

All I said was that these individuals were not ELGIBLE to participate per Call Back Regulations.

I commend you for having faith in these girls, but all I’m saying (as someone also said…read the posts) You will be disqualified for talking to he MEDIA about ANTM.

Natalie, I read the earlier posts from the girls… It’s really not that big of a deal. All she said was that these girls are ineligible for participation in cycle 13. What she stated makes sense. From someone who has made it past round 1, and 2 I was also told not to have any contact with the press, or I would be immediately disqualified… ni questions asked!
It’s really not that big of a deal to become rude over. You stated that the girls were indeed “jealous” in earlier posts, but now you are saying look up humility… I think you should eat your own words… take your own advice. You’re being quite hypocritical.
hi Ciera, I actually agree with Natalie. If these girls didnt have the chance to be seen, why not go in for an interview…more than i did. i waited 10 hours and got nothing out of it.

If I had to chose I would say the girl in the middle.
They already chose the cycle 13 winner… Just know more controversy this girl has been on the tyra show several times…
