CNTM 3.07 “Rippin’ it Up” Photo Shoot

Last night’s photo shoot on Canada’s Next Top Model, the girls shot an ad for CoverGirl EyeLights. Surprisingly. Linsay and Maryam shone in the photo shoot and Meaghan and Nikita struggled.
Here are the photos, in call-out order. Which one is your favorite? Least favorite?

Maryam’s photo was gorgeous and should have been called second. Meagan’s fingers look like lumpy sausages as well she has a terrible sneer. One of Nikita’s front teeth looks faded and she looks very posed. Linsay deserved to be called first as she did work hard… but there is nothing fresh about her look.

I think all of these shots are great and simple, retouched a bit, but still simple.
My Call Out:
1. Linsay – I think it is Covergirl in the sense it’s not Tyra’s Covergirl.
2. Meagan – Beautiful shot, and if she had problems smiling w/o the braces, I couldn’t tell.
3. Maryam – No question the girl can take a good picture. Once she gets her act together, she will be a force to be messed with.
4. Nikita – I love this girls fire and spunk, but this picture is awkward around her mouth making her look like she’s questioning things.
I think Nikita will win, and I liked her picture the best. She is the strongest girl left…Linsay’s look isnt anything new, she would be better off selling wrinkle cream to 40 y/o. The pictures seem overly retouched to get that fake shine! Yuck.

I totally disagree with the judges decision Maryam to go home. She was my fave. I have to say that all the girls look beautiful on those pictures and they are all really strong competitors. However, for me, Linsay is pretty but looks old. She is not a top model. As for the others, I like Meaghan a lot, but her behavior this week kind of turned me off. And Nikita is annoying as always. But it is a modeling competition not a ‘personality’ competiton. So, that being said, it’s gonna be quite tough to pick a winner.
CANADAS NEXT TOP MODEL IS WAY BETTER THAN ANTM ANTM IS TOO COMMERCIAL AND CAMPY IN CNTM THE JUDGES ACTUALLY SAY SMART COMMENTS THAT ACTUALLY TAKE SUM THOUGHT ANTM IS JUST TOO FAKE NOW THE BEST THING FROM LAST CYCLE (12) WAS ALLISON ANYWAYS THAT SUCKS THAT MARYAM GOT ELIMINATED N I HATE HOW MEAN THEY WERE TO HER BUT LOL “WHAT???” MY FAV IS FOR SURE NIKITA SHES A REAL BADASS SHES SO IGH FASHION LINSAY IS KINDA BITCHY N MEAGAN JUST DOESN’T STAND OUT THAT MUCH I PREFERED EITHER ANYWAYS AGAIN I HOPE NIKITA WINS IF NOT THEN MEAGHAN BUT HELL NO TO LINSAY SHES JUST NOT THAT MEMORABLE

I’d also like to say that Meaghan looks like Rene Zellweger with a twitchy eye…. and I’m done.

I don’t know why most commenters here say that Linsay looks old or has no potential. To me, she’s the most high fashion out of all of them. She’ll have the most success IMO. She’s got the high fashion look and she kicks ass on the runway. I’m putting my bets on that she will win. Nikita second place. I love, love Meaghan and think she’s absolutely, incredibly gorgeous and has super long legs. It’s a body to die for. But unfortunately, she doesn’t have model potential. She may be a moderately good model and may have some moderate success, but a top model she will not be. She’s still my favourite though!
Maryam is the only one with inner beauty that matches her outer beauty.
The other 3 are terrible role-models for young girls who watch the show.
This season was the final straw – I will not watch Canada’s Next Top Model ever again. Racism by contestants should not be tolerated!
I will continue to watch America’s Next Top Model, because at least Tyra tries to make a difference showing the beauty of women who do not fit the typical model stereotype. Just the fact that she has plus sized contestants – actually, average size contestants, rather than only girls that look anorexic, is a great step in the right direction!
I like this photos, but they’re way over retouched, the models almost seem to be fake, they should fire the guy/girl who “retouched” this photos
my callout:
1. nikita – the smile is edgy and unique for me. and her face looks innocent and fresh
2. maryam – the make up is just too much
3. meaghan
4. linsay – she looks old. i dont like her.
linsay always looked older than she really is,
she’s kicking butt in a competition , just not sure how far it will take her out there .
i think no matter who wins , nikita will go the furthest.
also , i do not understand why the judges favored maryam sooo much .
she takes stunning photos, but she’s unreliable in the case that she can’t get what she needs to be on the move.
What should have happened:
Maryam should have won CNTM 3 for the following reasons:
1. she has the most unique look
2. she has an amazing past – this makes her WAY more interesting than the rest of the girls
3. She has a great personality – especially compared to the rest of them – no explanation needed
I understand that in terms of this being a competition, it is slightly unfair that she didn’t participate in the go-sees and the bahamas, however, she is clearly the best model. She did rip that dress pretty bad, but to be fair she was trying to help ( see point 3 above )
What will happen:
I think Meagan will win because:
1. Linsay is amazingly beautiful, but not fresh, not CNTM material
2. Nikita is hot and funny, but she has already tried to be a model in the past and didn’t get very far. Great pics but she is Maxim Material – and could do quite well in that industry.
3. Jeanne Becker has a slightly wierd obsession with Meagan – Yasmin should be calling the shots

OMG this girls are totally retouched… its like they’re SIMS or another videogame characters… and… covergirl in CNTM??? mmmm… it looks like this its going to end like ANTM with a battle of interests COVERGIRL-SEVENTEEN-TYRA… and anything but a comercial winner without succes on REAL FASHION WORLD… what a shame!
