20th Century Props, a one-stop shop for all things props in Hollywood, is going out of business. They’re liquidating all their stock, which includes props from The Golden Girls, The Aviator, the Austin Powers films, America’s Next Top Model and more. There are 93,752 pieces in total!

The auction will take place from July 28 – August 1 and start at 9:30am PST. There are two inspection days before the auction starts, Saturday, July 25 and on Monday, July 27, if you want to check out the merchandise beforehand. Complete details for the auction can be found here.

You can see a complete list of the items up for auction here. Among those are two lamps and a mirror from America’s Next Top Model.

The auction will also be simucast on the web and there will be coinciding EBay sales too.

Review of ANTM Nintendo DS Game

Thanks to Top Model LiveJournal, I cam across these reviews of the America’s Next Top Model game for Nintendo DS by GameOn. GameOn is a group that reviews a variety of video games for all sorts of different consoles.

In the first clip, they review games that would be more appropriate for girls (and more specifically, your little sister). The ANTM game is the first one they review. They find the game to be well-thought out, albeit a bit gimmicky. Since the boys at GameOn know what they’re talking about, I’ll trust them. Honestly, I’m surprised the game got such a positive review from them.

DenoftheGeek, another online videogame site, also gives the game a surprisingly positive review, calling the graphics brilliant and the game itself “surprisingly simple”. Their overall score? 3/5!

In case you’re still torn, check out this video of someone actually playing the game. This way, you can get a feel for how you actually participate in the runway and posing challenges.

It looks a bit boring to play, but I bet it’s one of those games where looks can be deceiving. I mean, did anyone expect Brain Teasers and Nintendogs to take off?

America’s Next Top Model: Fierce Guide to Life in Stores in April

America’s Next Top Model: Fierce Guide to Life is a book by J.E. Bright that will show you the ultimate sources behind beauty, fashion and model behavior.

Published by Universe Press, Fierce Guide to Life has chapters focusing on beauty, health, and education, and filled with tips on hair, makeup, nutrition, and fashion dos and dont’s, with advice coming from leading experts in each field. The book looks to empower young women while pursuing their dreams. It also has information about how someone can become a model, including how to find an agent, how to put together a portfolio and designers and photographers that every aspiring model should know about.

It sounds like the book is only loosely affiliated with ANTM and just picks up on the key themes throughout the show. The book itself is not available until April 7, 2009 (which is smack in the middle of Cycle 12), so I can’t tell you if it’s any good or now! But as soon as I get a copy, I will!

You can pre-order the book on Amazon for $16.97, discounted from $24.95. They also have a package deal where you can get the book and the first season on ANTM on DVD for $37.95.

I really hope the photo above is not the final cover. Cycle 5 contestants? Way to keep it relevant.

On an unrelated note, it’s sad only Cycle 1 of ANTM is available on DVD.
