Mollie Sue Gondi in BBC Documentary

Mollie-Sue Gondi, who competed in the sixth cycle of America’s Next Top Model was interviewed for the BBC documentary “The Seven Photographs that Changed Fashion.”

In the film, photographer Rankin recreated his seven favorite images by Cecil Beaton, Erwin Blumenfeld, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, David Bailey and Guy Bourdin. You can see a slideshow of the images here. He uses Heidi Klum, Erin O’Connor, Jade Parfitt, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Tuuli Shipster, Mollie Gondi, Daphne Guinness and David Gandy to recreate this influential and iconic images.

Mollie participated in the recreation of the Helmut Newton image. Her part of the documentary is below:

I think it’s an honor that Mollie was asked to participate in such an exciting project. The documentary originally aired on January 14, 2009 on BBC4 and has been replayed periodically since. There’s no word on whether there are plans to release it in North America, but it is up on Youtube, if you’re interested!

Tyra Banks in Hannah Montana Movie Trailer

Tyra Banks is in the Hannah Montana movie–and it made the trailer!

In the film, Miley Stewart aka Hannah Montana (played by Miley Cyrus) develops an attitude and is sent back to her hometown to remember where she came from. Tyra’s brief appearance occurs early in the movie, before Miley gets out in her place. The two fight over a pair of shoes in a women’s department store. In the trailer, which you can watch below, Tyra shows up at 0:17.

Interestingly, Tyra isn’t credited as herself at IMDB. Rather, she is credited as “Woman in Women’s Shoe Department.” This role is clearly a cameo appearance (”do you know who I am?”), so I wonder why this is.

Hannah Montana: The Movie is scheduled to hit theaters April 10 2009!

From Within Starring Amanda Babin Trailer

Here’s the trailer for the horror film From Within, starring Amanda Babin, Elizabeth Rice, Thomas Dekker and Rumer Willis.

The film originally premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2008 and it will be included in the “8 Films to Die For” horror film festival, which runs January 9-15. The other films at this festival include Slaughter, Perkins 14, Butterfly Effect: Revelation, Dying Breed, Autopsy and Voices. All these films were made by the same production company, After Dark, who sponsors the festival.

From Within is about a small community called Grovetown which is have a bizarre string of suicides. Some people think it’s nothing to worry about and others are convinced that there are greater powers at work. Amanda plays Molly, one of the residents of the town. They released a few preview clips a few months back and you can see one of Amanda’s scenes here.
