Isis King, the transgendered contestant who competed on Cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model recently appeared on Larry King Live. The episode focused on the issues facing transgendered people and was cohosted by celebrity psychologist Dr. Drew.
Alexis Arquette also appears in the episode, along with a female-to-male transgender and a transgender mayor. The segment was inspired by Chaz Bono’s decision to come out as a transgendered person. Alexis is very articulate and compassionate on television and this entire episode is respectful and informative. I’m impressed, Larry King.

Last night’s installment of My Life as a CoverGirl finally brought us the Tibi/Make-a-Wish runway show McKey Sullivan has been prepping for all season. It’s a nearly wordless 30-second piece that shows the different looks McKey wore while on the catwalk. Apparently the Make-a-Wish girls got to walk in this show too, but this was a MLAACG that was all about McKey.

McKey looked gorgeous, almost a throwback to the supermodels of the ’90s. I love it. Next week’s segment will probably be a look back at McKey’s entire MLAACG journey. What do you think of McKey’s commercials?

Last night’s Top Models in Action segment featured America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 runner-up Samantha Potter. I love Samantha and think she looked fierce on the Dutch catwalk (those red lips!) but think she’s a strange choice, as she hasn’t been modeling that long and most of her gigs have been related to ANTM or to prizes she won on the show.

In this week’s episode of My Life as a CoverGril, Cycle 11 winner McKey Sullivan is backstage at the Tibi fashions how, getting ready to step on the catwalk and put on a show! Makeup artist Sutan makes another appearance, talking about how CoverGirl makeup is going to make McKey shine. I don’t mind this integration of product promotion, as it’s seamless and fits the scene. Plus, any screen time Sutan gets is fine by me!

Samantha Potter, the Cycle 11 America’s Next Top Model runner-up appeared in Mary Mary’s music video for their single “God in Me.”
Mary Mary is a two-time Grammy winning gospel duo of sisters Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell. They are famous for their fusing of gospel with soul, hip hop, jazz and funk and are best known for their dance anthem “Shackles.”
Samantha appears in the video at 1:43. The video is based around a fashion show and Samantha is one of the models.

Last night we were treated to another episode of My Life as a CoverGirl starring Cycle 11 winner McKey Sullivan. In this segment, McKey helps another Make-A-Wish girl whose dream was to be a fashion model. McKey and Harper’s Bazaar fashion editor Mary Alice Stephenson give Ashley the skills and confidence she needs to shine on the runway.

I’m actually really excited to see the Tibi/Make-A-Wish fashion show. It will be great to see McKey working it and to see all these girls whose dreams came true thanks to Tibi, CoverGirl and McKey!

The make-up artist (Sutan!!) walks her through the palette and products he chose and shows how they relate to the Tibi collection and the designers vision.
