Sarah Vonderhaar, the musician, photographer and model who competed on Cycle 8 of America’s Next Top Model, has been focusing exclusively on music the past few years. She’s been working and playing steadily and released her first full length album, titled “Are You Listening Now” in April 2008.

Top Model Musicians

The recent MySpace thug video got me thinking about the various America’s Next Top Model contestants who have parlayed into music. Not starring in music videos–making them.
I can only think of three—Tyra Banks herself, Lisa D’Amato, and Sarah Vonderhaar. Can you think of any more?
first up, we have Tyra and her infamous “Shake Ya Body” video. Tyra completely financed this project herself and one of the challenges in the second season of ANTM was starring in this video. While I appreciate Tyra’s attempt at music, I’m glad she found her true calling in the talk show world.

Sarah Vonderhaar Album Available April 22

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 contestant Sarah Vonderhaar will release her debut album Are You Listening Now? on April 22.
If you go to her MySpace page, the song “I Got Sunshine” is available to download. It isn’t bad! Some other songs are there for you too, so check them out!

I Met Sarah Vonderhaar From America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8

I went to the America’s Next Top Model auditions today to hopefully catch a glimpse of a future Top Model and was extremely excited to see Sarah Vonderhaar from Cycle 8 of ANTM. She looks AMAZING! Her hair is back to blonde and she was super sweet and so pretty.
Here’s a video I took of her promoting her music which is great by the way! Go on over to Myspace and take a listen. My favorite track is "Sing Me To Sleep". Then check back for an exclusive interview with Sarah in the next few weeks.
