Lisa D'AmatoLisa D’Amato, who appeared on the fifth cycle of America’s Next Top Model and is best known for her bizarre post-ANTM music career has signed on to appear in the third season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. VH1 revealed the cast a few days ago.

Joining Lisa are Mackenzie Phillips from One Day At A Time, Heidi Fleiss, Dennis Rodman, Mindy McCready, Lisa D’Amato, Mike Starr from Alice in Chains, former Miss United States Teen Kari Ann Peniche, and Joey Kovar from Real World Hollywood.

The third season will consist of eight one-hour episodes that shows the celebrities going through Dr. Drew’s 21-day intensive rehab program.

Several celebs in this season have had very public demonstrations of their issues with drugs and alcohol. Both Joey and Lisa showed their excessive drinking and partying ways on their reality show, Dennis underwent a semi-intervention by Donald Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice, Mindy McCready had a very public DUI and Kari Ann Peniche had her title stripped from her.

Lisa D’Amato’s New Music Video “Trainwreck”

February 11, 2009 by Erin Balser

As we learned from her ANTM Obsessed interview, Lisa D’Amato from Cycle 5 of America’s Next Top Model is very serious about her rapping career. She performs regularly at the Viper Room in West Hollywood with her back-up dancers and occasionally makes music videos when she finds the funding to do so.

Her latest video, “Trainwreck” is directed by James Curtis and produced by Brendan Vaughn. Lisa co-wrote the song with Sticky Banana.

The video’s concept is Lisa just going throughout her day, only to come home to find her boyfriend cheating on her. She then angrily stomps around Los Angeles while singing and dancing.

This video, while awesomely hilarious, will never top Ace of Spaces. But then, will anything?

ANTM Obsessed Exclusive Interviews With Fan Favorites

February 1, 2009 by Erin Balser

Today, Oxygen marathoned Cycle 10 of America’s Next Top Model as part of their America’s Next Top Model: Obsessed. As promised, they aired exclusive interviews with “fan favorite” former ANTMers to find out what they are up to now and what they’re currently obsessed with. The apparent fan favorites? Lisa D’Amato (Cycle 5), Caridee English (Cycle 7) and Bianca Golden (Cycle 9).

Bianca talks about how people thought she was putting on a role, but promises fans that what you saw in Cycle 9 was the real deal. She talks about how quickly the show moved from being exciting to stressful and difficult and that affects your relationships in the house, your performance and more.

I really wish Bianca had kept her short cut. The long hair is nice, but it doesn’t look “model” to me.

Lisa chats about how ANTM changed her life. She feels the show represented her in a one-dimensional party-animal light. That’s affected her career prospects, but it’s also opened a lot of doors. She’s currently focusing on her rap career and is performing constantly at the Viper Room. If you’re her Facebook friend, she’ll invite you to all of them.

Caridee talks about how she wanted to be on ANTM forever because she knew she’d use the opportunity better than anyone else who has been on the show. She doesn’t regret anything she did or said on the show–good or bad–because the experience is what it is. She loved the experience and everything that’s come from it.

I think these girls were chosen less so for their favorite-ness and moreso for have somewhat of a career since ANTM and are still willing to be associated with the Top Model brand. I’d love to see them talk to girls who are off doing really interesting things and are actually having modeling careers (as opposed to entertainment careers) or chat with girls who have completely fallen off the map!

Lisa D’Amato on MTV Cribs

August 2, 2008 by Erin Balser

Lisa D’Amato from Cycle 5 of America’s Next Top Model briefly appeared on MTV’s Cribs last week. It’s the second episode of this season and they are showing us around Cisco Adler’s and Shwayze’s homes.

She makes an appearance in true Lisa-style, dancing and being crazy.

For copyright reasons, only those who live in the US will be able to see the video.

Top Model Musicians

July 22, 2008 by Erin Balser

The recent MySpace thug video got me thinking about the various America’s Next Top Model contestants who have parlayed into music. Not starring in music videos–making them.

I can only think of three—Tyra Banks herself, Lisa D’Amato, and Sarah Vonderhaar. Can you think of any more?

first up, we have Tyra and her infamous “Shake Ya Body” video. Tyra completely financed this project herself and one of the challenges in the second season of ANTM was starring in this video. While I appreciate Tyra’s attempt at music, I’m glad she found her true calling in the talk show world.

More great videos–and a poll–after the jump!

Lisa D’Amato is a Villian

June 17, 2008 by Erin Balser

TV Guide recently chose their Top 10 reality tv show villians. When the Associated Press did this a few months ago, Cycle 6’s Jade Cole made the list. Jade didn’t burn enough bridges for this list, but Cycle 5’s diaper-wearing Lisa D’Amato did–she’s tenth!

Lisa makes the list for her abrasive personality and bizarre antics. Also on the list are Spencer Pratt (#7), Wendy Pepper (#8), Johnny Fairplay (#4) and Omarosa (#1).

I can’t help but wonder why TV Guide chose Lisa over Jade and AP chose Jade over Lisa. I definitely think Jade was worse–but more entertaining!! What about you?
