Eva Marcille, winner of Cycle 3 of America’s Next Top Model attended the Young Hollywood Award for Daytime for her role as Tyra Hamilton on The Young and the Restless. The awards ceremony, which is in its 11th year, was held at the on Sunday night at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California.

I think Eva looked great with her ruffled white dress and relaxed hair and accessories. There are rumors flying that Eva took home an award at the ceremony, but she’s not on the official winners list, so I’m not sure. Can anyone help me out here?
Winners that evening included Rumer Willis for Breakthrough Performance Female, Ed Westwick for Breakthrough Performance Male, Bar Refaeli for Young Hollywood Crossover and Evan Rachel Wood for Young Hollywood Superstar. You can see a list of more winners here.

April 23, 2009 by Erin Balser
This week’s Top Models in Action was Cycle 3 winner Eva Marcille. Eva is one of the more successful winners of America’s Next Top Model. After her win, she did some commercial work before concentrating on her acting career. Currently, she has a regular gig on The Young and the Restless, playing a young mother named Tyra Hamilton.
i think it’s interesting that they really focused on Eva’s engagement to actor Lance Goss.
I wonder who is going to be next week’s Top Model in Action?

Eva Marcille, winner of Cycle 3 of America’s Next Top Model and current star of looked stunning as she walked the red carpet at the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards on February 12.
Eva’s gorgeous gown was made by Lebanese designer Jean Fares and her jewelry was by Damiani. Eva was the first person to ever wear one of Jean Fares’s creations on the Hollywood red carpet! That’s pretty special and I’m sure Fares will be pleased with how Eva pulled it off.
Her fiance, Lance Gross, was also at the ceremony, but they walked the red carpet separately, only posing for a few photos together at the end.

It was a bittersweet night for the couple, as Lance’s show took home its award. Eva lost to Debbi Morgan who stars in , but I’m sure she wasn’t too disappointed. Debbi strongly deserved the award and there will many times in the future Eva will be honored. You can see a complete list of winners here.
The Tyra Banks Show lost to The View for “Outstanding Daytime Talk Show and America’s Next Top Model lost to American Idol for “Outstanding Reality Series.”
Eva Marcille & Lance Gross Talk Gaming
February 8, 2009 by Erin Balser
Eva Marcille and fiance Lance Gross have certainly been making the red carpet rounds lately. On January 27, they attended the Afro Samuri launch party for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 at Geisha House in Los Angeles. They stopped and chatted about gaming for a few minutes on the red carpet before heading inside to the party.
Eva “confesses” that she’s a gamer, even moreso than Lance. She’s a big Mario fan and loves the old school Game Boy. They also have a Wii at home and both seem really into it.
While it’s great Eva loves and plays video games, Game Boy and Mario do not a gamer make. I do love how excited she is by Wii Fit though. It is really fun! I wonder if Eva will pick up the America’s Next Top Model game for Nintendo DS when it makes it’s way stateside!

ANTM, Eva Marcille & Tyra Banks Nominated for NAACP Awards
January 7, 2009 by Erin Balser
Eva Marcille, winner of cycle three of America’s Next Top Model, is nominated for an NAACP Image Award in the category “Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series.” Eva is currently playing a young mother, Tyra Hamilton, on The Young and the Restless.
The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the achievements of people of color in film, on television, in music and literature as well as honoring those who promote social justice through their creative pursuits.
Eva is up against three of her castmates, Christel Khalil, Nia Peeples and Tonya Lee Williams. Rounding out the category is Debbi Morgan, for her work on All My Children.
Good luck, Eva! She’s been working really hard to become a better actress and it’s been nice to watch her grow and achieve success. This nomination shows that all her hard work is paying off!
Eva has to share the stage with former mentor and current fictional namesake, Tyra!
Tyra Banks’ daytime talk show The Tyra Banks Show is nominated in the “Outstanding Talk-Series” category. Tyra’s up against some stiff competition, including Iconoclasts: Venus Williams & Wyclef Jean on Sundance, Judge Mathis, Tavis Smiley on PBS and ABC’s The View.
I can see Tyra taking this category home. She has the ratings, has critical acclaim and often tackles issues facing women of color today.
Finally, America’s Next Top Model picked up a nomination in the “Outstanding Reality Show” category. ANTM is up against other reality show heavyweights like American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Run’s House 4.
I think ANTM has a decent shot at winning, but can see one of the bigger, more mainstream shows, like Idol or Dancing taking it home. They have a bigger audience and more widespread appeal.
What about you? Do you think Tyra, Eva and ANTM have a shot?
This year celebrates the 40th anniversary of the NAACP Awards. The winners will be announced during the ceremony, which will air on Thursday, February 12 at 8:00 EST. You can see a complete list of all the categories and nominees here.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 winner and current The Young and the Restless player Eva Marcille got engaged this holiday season to longtime boyfriend Lance Gross.
According to US Magazine, Lance popped the question on Christmas Eve in front of their families and close friends.
While the two have been together for a long time and have openly talked about getting married in the future, the question came as a complete shock for Eva.
“I cried. It was totally unexpected. I’m still in shock,” Eva told Essence.
No date has been set yet, but the couple are considering a summer ceremony in 2010.
I’m so happy for Eva and Lance! They are a great couple and truly make each other happy. Eva is going to make a gorgeous bride!
Eva Pigford to Join The Young & the Restless Permanently?
December 13, 2008 by Erin Balser
According to the Examiner, Eva Pigford will be joining the cast of The Young & the Restless permanently. She did a multi-episode arc, playing Tyra Hamilton, a young, single mother who comes to Genoa City with a few secrets.
Sources claim the producers of Y&R were so impressed by Eva that she is going to be asked to join the show as a full-time cast member. They feel there is a lot they can do with her character and she could become an important party of future story lines.
I couldn’t find this rumor in any other place, but I’ll keep my eyes out. I hope it’s true-Eva’s been trying to break into acting for quite some time and a steady gig like this can really help her get her foot in the door and develop her acting skills.
