Nijah is a 6′0′ aspiring model from California. She’s done quite a bit of modeling work before the show and is looking to use ANTM as a launching pad for a stellar career.

Mercedes Scelba-Shorte is in one of the commercials from Subway’s “Five Dollar Foot Long campaign.” The campaign features campy situations where various instances, like a cop stopping a woman on a moped, inadvertently indicate a foot-long sub. I think the commercials are cute and fun, but I’ve seen it too many times.
Mercedes isn’t in the main commercials of this campaign, but rather one that features construction workers, firefighters and secretaries singing the five dollar footlong song.
