ANTM Cycle 12 Interview: Nijah Harris

Nijah is a 6′0′ aspiring model from California. She’s done quite a bit of modeling work before the show and is looking to use ANTM as a launching pad for a stellar career.
Nijah wants to win because she sees herself as a top model. Her heart and soul is in this industry. She also likes the idea of being a role model. She thinks she is confident but not cocky and has a unique look. Her experience should give her an advantage.
She’s excited for her makeover and to see how living with 12 other girls is going to play out. Nijah is currently taking a year off school to see where modeling takes her.
Nijah seems really sweet and down-to-earth. I like her quite a bit, but I think this might make for some boring television. Hopefully she can pull some stunning photos out!

Mercedes Scelba-Shorte in Subway Commercial

Mercedes Scelba-Shorte is in one of the commercials from Subway’s “Five Dollar Foot Long campaign.” The campaign features campy situations where various instances, like a cop stopping a woman on a moped, inadvertently indicate a foot-long sub. I think the commercials are cute and fun, but I’ve seen it too many times.
Mercedes isn’t in the main commercials of this campaign, but rather one that features construction workers, firefighters and secretaries singing the five dollar footlong song.
It’s nice to see Mercedes getting work in a national campaign. The fact she’s recognizable takes away from the purpose of this commercial-we now know they are actors, as opposed to real people asked to sing-but that’s minor!
Mercedes Scelba-Shorte for Rachel Pally

Mercedes Scelba-Shorte, runner-up of Cycle 2 of America’s Next Top Model is modeling for Rachel Pally at Haute Look. She’s all over the website, which is currently having a holiday sale where everything is 50% off!
I liked Mercedes and it’s great to see her working again. First up, we have her in a twist shoulder dress. It’s available in 12 different colors and is currently on sale for $95.00.

I think Mercedes looks great. This is a gret gig for her-she’s all over the website. And it’s nice to see ANTM girls getting gigs for designers whose clothes look age appropriate. I can see Mercedes wearing most of these outfits in her everyday life.
