DC 50 Interviews Analeigh Tipton
June 2, 2009 by Erin Balser
Analeigh Tipton was the second-runner up in Cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model. She’s now living in Los Angeles, trying to make it as a model and an actress. She was shortlisted for a part on the new CW show A Beautiful Life (which I’m superexicted about, by the way, even though Analeigh isn’t on it!) and had a recent meeting with a casting director about the latest Sophia Coppola picture.
Analeigh took a moment out of her busy schedule to sit down for an interview with DC 50. She talked about her time on the show, what her life has been like since the show aired and more.
I love Analeigh and think she’s pursuing the right career for her. I’m excited to see what she does next and wish her every success.
McKey Sullivan in Tibi/Make-a-Wish Fashion Show
March 15, 2009 by Erin Balser
McKey Sullivan, winner of Cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model, walked in a special CoverGirl and Tibi fashion show. A girl from the Make-a-Wish foundation, whose dream was to be a fashion model, also walked in the show.
Pat & Carolyn from A Blog About Things went to the show (jealous!). Here’s the video they took of the event.
McKey looked gorgeous, but her walk still needs a bit of improvement. I love how she and CoverGirl are using her My Life as a CoverGirl spots to do some good in the world. I wonder whose idea that was.
This fashion show is going to show up in a future My Life as a CoverGirl spot!
Analeigh Tipton Starts a Blog
March 13, 2009 by Erin Balser
Analeigh Tipton, the second runner-up on Cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model has started a personal blog. Called “Peace of Analeigh: My Curious Adventures in the Big City” it looks like it’s a personal space where she is going to share thoughts, musings and poetry with her readers.
She also shares vague info about her professional life. Analeigh was negotiating to star in the CW’s upcoming show A Beautiful Life, about a group of models trying to make it in New York City (think ANTM meets Gossip Girl), but based on her recent post and the announcement that Mischa Barton has signed on to that show, it looks like Analeigh missed out.
I’m excited to follow Analeigh and her career as she follows her dreams in New York City. Analeigh has always been good to her fans and has posted in the past on message boards like Reality TV Games and Television Without Pity. I’m glad she’s started an online space where more of her fans can follow her and interact with her.

Analeigh Tipton Reveals Story Behind Peace Necklace
December 18, 2008 by Erin Balser
On the most recent cycle of America’s Next Top Model, second-runner-up Analeigh Tipton was as known for her giant peace sign necklace as she was for her bubbly personality and sunny attitude. Today she revealed the story behind it on her MySpace.

The necklace was given to her by someone she really admired and considered to be a very strong and inspirational person. Analeigh decided she wanted to be more like this person and this person gave her the necklace as a sign of inner strength, healing, love and humility.
When Analeigh is finished with the necklace, she is supposed to give it to a person who needs it more than she does. It will give them inner strength and allow them to grow into the person they want to become.
I think this is a cute and sweet story and it’s very much something I can see Analeigh doing. Now that she’s finished with ANTM and her modeling and acting career is bubbling, I wonder when she’ll feel “done” with the necklace.
Daily Breeze Interviews Analeigh Tipton
December 14, 2008 by Erin Balser
The Daily Breeze, a local paper in Los Angeles, sat down with Analeigh Tipton to talk about how her life has changed since America’s Next Top Model, The article’s writer is clearly impressed with Analeigh’s poise, grace and maturity.

Analeigh recently signed with an artists’ agency in LA, and is looking to break into modeling and acting. The agency wants Analeigh to lose 2 inches in her hips. While she’s willing to work hard to ensure her career is a success, she’s not willing to compromise who she is.
“I’m just trying to figure out what’s best for me while knowing that I will pursue this as long as I don’t have to sacrifice who I am,” she says.
Analeigh seems down-to-earth and ready to take LA by storm. You can read the entire interview here.
Analeigh Tipton Answers FAQs on Her MySpace
November 25, 2008 by Erin Balser
Analeigh Tipton really wants to connect with her fans. At first, she tried to respond to every forum personally, but found that overwhelming. She’s now on MySpace and her most recent blog post is a Q&A of some of the more pressing questions fans have had.

She lets us know that’s she’s still best friends with Marjorie, but she is straight, as is Marjorie. A big reason she’s so cuddly an touchy-feely with girls is because she went to an all-girls high school where this kind of behavior was the norm.
She doesn’t have any regrets about her time on the show and while it was weird watching herself, she says it felt a lot like watching a home video of sorts.
You can see the entire Q&A at her MySpace. Don’t forget to friend her!

November 24, 2008 by Erin Balser
McKey Sullivan, Samantha Potter and Analeigh Tipton all visited the CW Lounge last week to answer your questions. Thankfully, these videos were put up on Youtube so I could share them with you!
Here’s McKey. She’s asked about what it feels like to win and how she kept quiet for a few months while the show aired!
Sam and Anleigh are below the jump!
Video: Analeigh and Samantha on The Big Bang Theory
November 11, 2008 by Erin Balser
Analeigh and Samantha made a brief appearance on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory. They didn’t play themselves, rather just contestants on America’s Next Top Model.
The idea was that Penny didn’t pay her cable bill and watches ANTM at the boys’ apartment. They become enraptured with the idea of a house filled with beautiful aspiring models and use their geek-talents to locate the house. It was a pretty fun episode and it does look like Sam and Analeigh enjoyed their role.
It’s too bad Sam didn’t have any lines. I wonder if she did and they simply got cut or they asked both girls to audition for the speaking role and Analeigh won.
Preview of Sam & Analeigh on The Big Bang Theory
November 10, 2008 by Erin Balser
Analeigh and Samantha will be on tonight’s episode of The Big Bang Theory. The preview below explains Wolitz’s new fascination with America’s Next Top Model, his determination to find the house the girls are living in and how their chance encounter comes to be.
The video also explains how Analeigh and Samantha got on the show. It’s not a challenge win, as I originally thought, but an original story-line. Although, you have to admit that the cross-promotion can’t hurt.
Here’s a quick video explaining the plot line. Analeigh compares working on a sitcom to the set of ANTM. It seems like she and Sam had a lot of fun!
The episode airs tonight on CBS at 8pm.
Analeigh & Sam to Appear on The Big Bang Theory
November 8, 2008 by Erin Balser
Analeigh and Samantha from this cycle of America’s Next Top Model will make an appearance on the November 10 episode of The Big Bang Theory. The episode is titled “The Panty Pinata Polarization” and Analeigh is billed as “Analeigh” and Sam is billed as “Samantha”, so they are playing themselves.

Wolowitz somehow becomes a fan of ANTM and this leads to him meeting the girls. How and why I’m not sure-I guess we have to tune in to find out!
This must be a challenge win from the next episode. I think it’s a bit weird that the win will air before the challenge does, but there’s no other explanation for it, is there?
The episode will air Monday, November 10 at 8pm on CBS.
