Canada’s Next Top Model Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
Sorry this took so long to come up, but here’s a recap of Canada’s Next Top Model Season 2 Episode 5 which originally aired in Canada June 27th:
When the girls got home there was a note from Gina:
Tara: Keep it rocking and don’t let anything get in your way
Rebecca: have a cocktail tonight for me
Cori: Don’t give up, the only thing stopping you is believing in you
Tia: You talk a lot but you’re one of the funniest girls I know
Sinead:Rock star , quit being so sweet, you deserve everything that’s coming to you
Mo: Sassy mo, love you, keep moving those hips and bringing attitude
Then they noticed an eviction notice. All the girls now will be living in one room. The girls ponder whether the producers are doing this to bring them closer together or to make them kill each other. I’m thinking the latter. haha
IN the morning Tia screamed Jay Mail and everyone sleeping groaned…I wonder what time they actually wake up?
Jay asks if they’re in top condition or just spinning out of control?
They figure it means they’re going to be working out. A bunch of the girls are concerned because they don’t normally work out. Erg, skinny biotches who don’t need to work out to stay thin? Grr!
They headed to the Yorkville gym where Stacey was waiting…with Chris their spinning instructor. Tia talks about how she felt like she was going to die…
Cori throws up afterward…Tara mentions that’s why you shouldn’t smoke…so true.
Then all the girls met with Jay individually. He wants to know more about them.
Mo: Jay asks if she was shocked that she was picked out as having the best shoot last week. She says she was really happy and that she feels she has to work twice as hard as everyone else because she’s black and there are so few black top models. Jay tells her she can do it…and has to convince them that Mo is right for this job.
Tia: She talks about talking too much…then rambles. Jay like their talk and tells her to bring that Tia to judging b/c then they might think, Tia’s now my front runner…
Sinead: Jay thinks Sinead needs to watch her back because she’s too nice and trusting
Cori: Jay asks if she’s prepared. The judges see her fragility. They want to see a more dynamic side to her.
Rebecca: cool chick that Jay wants to go and hang out with but she doesn’t let them see that in judging. She says it’s hard for her because she’s worried about saying something that makes her sound stupid.
Tara talks to Jay about her mom going blind. She was poisoned? Weird..
Then they headed to Flirtygirl fitness where Stacey was there once again with Krista their pole dancing instructor. Sexy!
They’re each going to learn a pole dance and perform it and the winner will get a prize.
Stacey thought Tia followed through, Tara was quite sexy but over confident and didn’t flow naturally on the pole. Rebecca was really good, but needs more practice, mo gave up in the middle, Cori came out of her comfort zone and went for it, Sinead danced beautifully but was shy..Cori won and Tara was really pissed of b/c she’s a dancer. haha She got to choose two of the other girls who she thought was the best: Tia and Rebecca
They get to go to a spa and Cori gets a massage…you can actually see her butt on camera a bit. haha
Tara talks about being jealous and wishes that Gina was still there…She mentions that Cori has a potty mouth. Tara says that she reminds her of trash. Ouch!
Anyway the girls get Jay mail and they think they’re going to be jumping and bouncing.
And they’re correct. They go to a gymnasium and Nole is there and tells them that they’re going to do an editorial shoot. with modern futuristic makeup and hair and they’re going to be on trampolines
Jay runs in and says he got a message on his phone from Stacey that Cori won. she gets extra frames and they’re going to analyze with her half way through and tell her what she’s doing right and wrong. She has to choose one girl , she chooses Tia who will also get the extra frames. Tara is super pissed off.
The photos get taken, everyone but Cori is worried about getting sent home.
Then coming home some of the girls put on pirate makeup. Very cute.
Tara wants Sinead, Tia or Cori to go home…
The next morning Nole shows up at the house with Justin Germain from a salon called Shagg, They use Pantene products and do each girl’s hair.
Then judging:
Mo: they wish she were taller…Jay thinks she’s sassy
Cori: Cori is sexy but also short
Rebecca: has a great frame but no personality.
Tara has all the attributes but fails to deliver weekly…
Sinead: little and not a model…
Tia: scared and out there…gets her foot in the door because of her looks…
Cori is called first, then Rebecca, Tia, Sinead
Tara and Mo are in the bottom two
Tara has the walk to blow them away but they feel like she might just be cruising
Mo brings spunk, but her photos are getting better but maybe not good enough.
Mo goes home. Grr, I wish it had been Tara. Mo takes it really hard and says the first thing she’s going to do when she gets home is smash something. aww :(
