This is the first episode where I’ve watched the introduction super closely and I must say it’s the most high-fashion introduction we’ve had in a long time. I love the simplicity of the tightly pulled back hair and dark eye makeup.
After some promos for This is It (Which I want to see!) we open with Erin freaking out about being in the bottom two twice and everyone hating how strong a competitor Nicole has been throughout the competition. We get a bit of Sundai’s backstory and she promises that if she makes the final four, the girls will hear her whole story.
The next morning it’s Laura’s birthday. She’s so adorable, I love Laura! The girls make her breakfast, which is sweet. But Laura’s still gotta work! The girls head to the beach where they are greeted by Marisa Miller. She’s there to “teach the girls how to be hot but not over the top.” She walks them through some different postures and understanding your audience as a model. Marisa demands they all get wet and roll in the sand. Sundai doesn’t want to get her hair wet. Strike one! Laura, despite having the worst sunburn in the world, rolls around like a pro. Nicole is too adorable during this whole process. “I don’t think it was sexy, but I think it was cute.”
Nigel shows up and the girls learn they have a new photo shoot challenge! The girls have to jump off the cliff and Nigel will take their photo. Everyone is freaking out, but the cliff is like three feet high. Calm down! The prize is ridiculously awesome. The winner gets extra frames and picks a friend to get some extra frames, who in turn picks a friend who gets extra frames and so on until one girl remains and she doesn’t get any extra frames! Way to pick the girls against each other, Tyra!! Nicole wins! She picks Sundai who picks Laura who picks Jen, which leaves Erin out of the loop.
This week’s photo shoot is going to take place underwater! I love underwater photo shoots – remember the one in the tank in Cycle 2?
During the photo shoot, Laura and Nicole shine. Sundai claims asthma problems. I love how Jay calls Sundai out on that excuse, but as far as Top Model excuses go, it’s pretty lame.
At panel, Marisa gets active as the guest judge, which is pretty cool. Nicole’s photo is stunning, Laura’s and Jen’s are good and Erin’s and Sundai’s are meh. Jennifer gets the first call out, followed by Nicole and Laura. This leaves Sundai and Erin in the bottom two. Amazingly, Erin gets saved again and Sundai is sent home.
I’m over girls being saved on potential. How many times did Aminat and Whitney get passes? However, I was never a Sundai fan, and I’m glad to see her go. However, watching her break down when Erin’s name was called is heartbreaking. I actually feel bad for her. Erin better get aufed soon.

i bet that wonky-eye jenny and the prodigal son (erin) will be gone in the double elimination.

well…mr. jay said the winner was surprising so it could go either way.
Not sad to see Sundai go. Nicole had nice shots but of course Tyra picks a not good one. Erin now has the record for bottom two appearance three times in a row. Still not the most but still a record. Based on babycakes’ cryptic last message, I think the final two is Nicole and Erin. babycakes has never seemed to like Jen and she’s said the final is one of the best she’s watched in awhile. She’s said in an earlier post that Jen’s photos get worse and are overpraised. That sounds like Jen and Laura (the elim that will make some cry) are the double elims next epi. Erin would be surprising because so far there has been no sort of redemption arc for her. As for Nicole, the casual viewer who could care less about a good model, don’t care for Nicole’s personality.
All i have to say is, if Erin doesn’t go home next episode im going to reconsider watching next season. brittany and Sundai both deserved to be there much more than her, Erin is not very good but for some reason tyra loves her.

If you got extra frames, who would you pick? I would probably had pick Sundai’s just because she is the worst of the bunch and I shouldn’t help anyone who could potentially better than me at that stage of the competition.
Why did they focus so much on Laura’s birthday when other birthdays in past cycles were glossed over? Because she is soooo adorable. I am sure no one really cares about their b-day like she did.. or not everyone actually liked a contestant as much as everyone likes her.
How was Marisa Miller? Best judge of the cycle… she helped them during the challenge and during panel. She was not afraid of disagreeing with the rest of the panel.
What do you think of the photo shoot? It was cool.. but I wish there were more fishes involve…

Why was Erin saved three times in a row? She was better than Rae, I thought she was going to leave last week, but this time she is waaaaaaaaaay better than Sundai.
Did Sundai deserve to be eliminated? Yes!!!! but I have to say I had a tear coming out of my eye when she left.. not because I was sad to see her leave, but for the reaction of all the other girls!

Babycakes spoiled the final two! Get excited… it’s gonna be an amazing finale!
I’m glad that Sundai went home! She was cool but really too short and didn’t compensate for it! I mean I don’t know any model who is 5,3 and all the petite models that Tyra showed were like 5,6. But I admit it was sad when she got sent home… oh well.
But personnally, I like Erin. I know she is whiny and everything but I think she is trying to be overconfident because she feels not confident at all in the inside and also, it’s true she might be spoiled but I really like her looks, she has something that was showed in the beginning of the competition. It sad that it goes badly for her now… But I don’t think she is a bitch cuz whiny doesn’t mean bitch. At least, she isn’t more bitchier than the other girls like Jen or Sundai. As for Nicole, she has great potential and everything and I’m sure she’s getting tons of work now (also the fact that isn’t too short)but I just can’t help but thinking she’s a tinnier and a bit uglier version of Allison cycle 12. They have almost the same voice, use the sames words and thoughts like “i’m not sure i’m gonna get along with the other girls” or “i never tried to be sexy” or “this isn’t my forte” and things like that. Also, one is bloody nose, the other bloody eyeball……. and they were both considered the weirdos of the house but big competitions as well…….. It just freak that they have so much in common…….. So if Allison didn’t win, i don’t think nicoles gonna win. We’ll see!

Was anyone over the top? Laura was almost over the top with her boob graze, but it’s Laura so she managed to make it look innocent.

Why did they focus so much on Laura’s birthday when other birthdays in past cycles were glossed over? Because it’s the top 5 and there’s little to no drama, they have to focus on something.
How was Marisa Miller? I think they actually picked a suitable guest judge this time. She knew what she was talking about and she’s 5′8!

Did Sundai deserve to be eliminated? Yes, she had a terrible week and she was starting to annoy me. She looks and talks like a 9 year old boy at times and it is psychologically jarring!

erin looks more like a model than sundai but her attitude (though possibly portrayed overly whiney and annoying) will not get her far – i think the fact that she was picked LAST at the challenge just shows that people do not like her once they know her!!

Best: Jen, followed by Nicole. Worst: Sundai and Erin – I couldn’t see their faces. Erin looks like Hannah Murray, which is bad, because they do not look alike

Yes …. and no. She should be eliminated, but Erin was in bottom two for the third time in a row! If I was Sundai I would be furious.

How was Marisa Miller? Ok I guess. The “girls like side shots, guys like straight on” was interesting. I’m a girl, and I do like side shots more.
What do you think of the photo shoot? It was Brialliant and I was totally TICKED at everyone for sucking. Also what was up with the photo selection? Were those REALLY the best shots? Because they wern’t that outstanding and that Photographer is awesome and the concept was fantastic.
Whose photo shoot was the best? Nicole The worst? Jen’s was painful for me to look at. I know her face was great and that’s good but her body was SO rigid it was uncomfortable for me to view.
Why was Erin saved three times in a row? So there can be drama in the house? Why oh why can’t they dye her hair back??? ERIN DYE YOUR HAIR BACK.
