1. Was Elina a hypocrite for accepting the Seventeen holiday photo shoot?
No, I don’t think she was a hypocrite for accepting the photoshoot because it’s experience and exposure. As much as I dislike her now, there should have been no reason why she wouldn’t accept the shoot.
2. Why are Elina and Marjorie suddenly best buds?
I don’t know.. because they are both European and therefore “insecure” and “don’t display emotion”

yes, cultural differences do exist when you’re raised in a different country.. but I have to agree with Sheena a whole lot more. They are using their cultural background as excuses and reasons why they are not doing well, as opposed to going forward and FIXING their mistakes. Honestly, shut the heck up. Both of them have been living in the U.S. for over half of their lives. Adapt or sink. I grew up in a foreign country as well, and I don’t whine that it makes me misunderstood. My experiences make me stronger. Yeesh. I now hate both Elina and Marjorie for their sheer lack of chutzpa.

Analeigh and Sheena’s were both great, but Analeigh’s was a touch better. I personally didn’t care much for Marjorie’s, because she just talked so quickly! Sam’s wasn’t too great either. I wasn’t surprised to see Joslyn go, but that’s only because she seems to have the least modeling potential of them all. It is a strong cycle, in my honest opinion.

no! modeling is about getting yourself out there, you don’t have to agree with the photoshoot. whoever came up with that lame-ass excuse is just jealous because they lost/tired of elina.

it’s like nerdy kids in high school or sluts at work. they band together.

just because she is embracing her culture, doesnt mean that everyone works that way. but she is right about it being annoying, if they’re going to model they need to suck it up.

analeigh’s was so good! elina looked constipated, joslyn’s was really bad, sheena’s and mckey’s were good, i didn’t like sam’s or marjorie’s

see her leave? i was surprised because of the way it was edited, to make it look like elina was gone, so that was kind of shocking. but to see her go in general, wasn’t very surprising. she had it coming.

The photo shoot for Seventeen was not religious in nature. It was about partying and look good for the “holidays.” I’m a Buddhist and I give Christmas presents because it’s expected at that time of the year. Atheists can go out and celebrate with their friends. Sheena is taking any opportunity she can to mix it up. Seriously, she’s the one who should keep her mouth shut. I can’t stand this woman.
Why are the two European transplants best friends – suddenly? Editing, editing, editing. During the heated kitchen confrontation, Analeigh was physically positioned between the two factions and was visually distressed at the tension. I’m sure she defended her friends or possibly took aims to alleviate the tension, but was edited out of the final cut. And why wouldn’t Elina and Marjorie band together to defend themselves? If someone supports your opinion in the face of vicious accusations (Sheena), you join with them to defend yourself. Safety in numbers.
Elina and Marjorie definitely have a foundation for their claims. What disturbs me is how Sheena, who was obviously born in the States, claims that the Europeans are frauds and hiding behind weak excuses for their performances. If she would stop bringing it up, maybe they could work through their problems. The early years of a child’s life are extremely important in how they turn out as adults and, seriously, does anyone think that their European parents, who probably brought them to this country to begin with, suddenly changed their attitudes in child rearing once they hit the shores? Sheena had a better chance at “turning out American” because she was born here and had external influences in her early formative years, which the other two girls did not.
And Sam, please, shut up. Or learn how to enunciate when you do open your big mouth.
Best commercial – Analeigh. I think the real surprise is how well Marjorie did despite the speed of deliver, “chicken” neck and hand jerks. Her delivery was much more natural than Joslyn’s.

No, they are using that as an excuse to make them seem like the victim, their culture has nothing to do with Top model, there were black girls, an asian girl and even a transsexual who probably have gone through more than them combined, but you don’t see them using that as an excuse.

Hell yes, Sheena was right on point, she said the exact same thing I was thinking, she needs to grow out of it.

Analeigh, but I much preferred Sheena’s, it was much more natural in my opinion, nothing was fake.

I’m surprised it took this long
ENOUGH WITH THIS EUROPEAN MADNESS…most of my friends are from Europe and they are more outgoing and carefree than Americans…a 100 times more. Even when it comes to sexuality, they are very open with it…even the guys. So I am a bit troubled by Marj and Elina always using “Europe” as an excuse.
We all have flaws…but to blame it on your country? that is shameless.

Not at all! That claim was just ridiculous. She won the challenge; she earned that extra experience and exposure.

I say this as a European: yes they do. Especially Marjorie, as she was homeschooled, but also Elina, judging by her claims that her mother kept her from making friends as a child. In both situations, their European parents have had a major influence on their outlook and personality. And if their parents were partial to the more negative, guarded, you’re-not-worth-anything mentality that is a lot more common in Europe than in the US, it would obviously affect them.

Sheena spouts so much nonsense that even if she had a point, it got lost in her going on about the “battle between good and evil”. (Seriously, WTF?)

Analeigh’s was definitely best, though I found the opening shot weird. Marjorie’s was the worst. That girl really should stick to photos.

Not really, though it was sad, especially as you could see she thought, for a split second, that she had “won” the elimination. Really mean of Tyra to do that…
