America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 Winner: Jaslene
Well, cycle eight has come to a close and I was having Internet trouble and couldn’t post about it earlier. But now that it’s back, let’s talk about the end of the road for cycle eight.
After all was said and done, Jaslene came out the winner and was named America’s Next Top Model. Natasha was first runner up.
Were you happy with the end result? I think I liked Natasha a bit better than Jaslene but overall I was pleased with the end of the cycle.

I ended up ok in the end, but I was pretty mad when they got rid of Renee for looking old when she did much better than both the other girls. Hosnetly, what kind of thing is that? Basically they were saying that looking old takes away all her other qualities. I don’t understand why they let her get so far when it was clear to them they would never let her win. I’m glad she made it to the top 3 though, gives her a good chance to make it, even though she didn’t win.

ugh, i hate jaslene, natasha or renee should have definitly won, jaslene is ugly and way too skinny to be healthy. whatever hopefully cycle 9 is better. although i have to admit cycle 8 was better than cycle 7

I am flabbergasted with the result! I hate Jaslene! She’s a cocky bitch,ugly,drag and skinny! The judges especially Nigel Bark(at me) are mad to have chosen her! Natasha was way better and Renee was also better but I calmed down now and I know that Nene and Nata will go far and will always be the best from cycle 8! I’m looking forward to cycle 9 to have a better winner!

If they were going to give it to the skinniest girl and only Latina anyway, why did we have be tortured when they got rid of much better models and, frankly, better people than Jaslene? Even now she’s trash talking Natasha. At a press conference the day after her undeserved crowning, she said that once Renee was eliminated, she knew she was going to win, because Natasha was no competition for her. And that paranoid nonsense backstage at the fashion show where she thought Natasha was trying to sabotage her by merely pointing out that the runway was uneven and that it would be a bad thing to fall. meh….I can’t help but feel like they decided Jaslene was going to be the winner fromnthe very first episode…it was set up. She shouldn’t have won and we all know it…..screw watching the next cycle.

Jaslene was my favorite from the beginning. She is a tall, beautiful stick, that is exactly what the modeling world wants. I think she rocks! Bring on Cycle 9!!!

I loved Jasleen from the beginning! I was cheering for her the whole way and I’m so glad she won! Yes, she’s thin, but what else do you expect when you’re watching a modeing show? So please..give me a break people who say she’s too skinny. She’s gorgeous and takes amazing pictures..and she also shows her real personality and doesn’t act like a fake little barbie..She deserved to win!

As weeks go by and the hype is wearing off I sit and wonder where in the heck is this issue of Seventeen Magazine with the new winner of America’s Next Top Model Jasleen? My daughters where excited to see someone as not only beautiful but outgoing and refreshingly nice to look at and out do the rest WIN!! Yeah…but they are anxiously awaiting to read her story and of course look at her pictures in the so called cover spread being offered to them. Is there any way to know when it will be available in newstands across the country if at all? Please let us know. Thank you.

I dont think Jasleen should have won. Natasha definately should have taken the crown. Ive wanted her to since they had the photoshoot were thwy had to dress as men and she went full out when she went as a rapper. No won else put as much effort in their photoshoots as Natasha did. Jasleen was cocky & 2 faced. I was very dissapointed when she won and am hoping they do better next cycle.

I could not think of one reason why J won the challenge. She is not only ugly but is also lack of confidence. When you look at Nat, she is someone full of confidence as evidenced in all of her pics. Among the final 3, I think Renee is the prettiest one while Nat has shown a lot of effort. And don’t forget Nat is from an entirely different country.
But I am sure Renee and Nat will have the opportunities to shine again becuase they are, by nature, way better than the ugly J.

jaslene only won because her father paid trya and the judges money to let her get on the show,give her easy photoshoots and ler her win and never be on the bottom two.
i no this because each photoshoot it challenged the other girls but jaslenes particular thing she did in the photo allowed her to look fierce and that is not a model thats a zoolander

Jaslene was the best! She worked it out and focused on the goal at hand….she represented herself well and her community. She can’t apologize for how skinny she is…her pictures as a young girl are the same..she is just skinny period..people are always going to hate no matter what though…it’s either ur too fat..too skinny…too short or too tall..or too this or too that..basically she can only be her and do her thing…and there were no hand outs or payoffs…i mean ..come on have you read her life story and anywayz…..the way that Tyra is, she would not go for any of that! Renee was always crying bc she wasn’t getting the right pictures to pose for, which was bull~you are given what your given and YOU are supposed to work it and not complain about it. Half the time Natasha didn’t even know what was going on and was clueless~but i’ll give her credit bc she did learn and tried to get better. But Jaslene was the best and that’s why they chose her..plain and simple~she’s fantastic…I saw her on the View today…looking cute as ever as one of the models…she was elegant and classy!

I agree with most of you; Jaslene should NOT have won. I would have been fine with Natasha winning, even Renee. But Jaslene? She was manipulative. She was so good at it that barely anybody noticed, not even the judges noticed. Jaslene was wayy too cocky for her own good, and because of this, she wont make it very far even with winning. The final competition? Natasha did WAY better than Jaslene did, whether or not Jaslene “picked it up” near the end, and Natasha lost it in the end. She did better. She worked with her skirt falling off, it looked intentional. She rocked the entire thing. I personally felt as if when it got down to Natasha and Jaslene, they had felt bad for Jaslene because that was her second time coming back.
If I ever see her, I’ll tell her exactly what I think. Go eat a cheeseburger or five, your walk ISN’T that great, and you look like a man.

It is obvious to me that they decided to give it to a latina from the beginning (lots of latinos watching perhaps?). But please, use a pretty model, not one that looks like an ugly and sick single mother. The strategy is clear, they get rid of the really pretty girls (eg, Felicia) at the start; imagine having to decide between Felicia and Jaslene at the final (hilarious!!!), so they keep the other ugly twat Natasha with her. This show is becoming a self-parody.

I didnt know that cycle 9 had started until
I seen it on the internet, so I thought I would spoil it for myself and see who won cycle 8.
I was shocked to see that Jaslene had won, she did deserve it though, it was clear that she had wanted it for along time. All the girls are gorgeous on there. I cant believe that Britany wasnt in the final 4 though. She took beautiful pictures, and the judges seemed to love her.

Jaslene will do very very well in the UK. She is just what is missing from the UK market. We already have Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell (White and Black). Its about time we had a Latino who also represent all the brown girls. We’ve seen hundreds of European models, a hell of lot better than what was on offer in Cycle 8. May be this time America’s NTM is really for a wider audience and not just for the US.

Jaslene looks like a busted janice dickinson. I thought the object of the show was to find new talent? She has a 1970’s face. it’s not fresh for you fashion expert pull out a vouge, an elle, take a walk through the mall and just look at the high fashion campagins… she dosen’t have the face for it. the most you can get out of her is a few perfume ad’s maybe a bag or two… mainly body shots. I don’t care about the fact she has a bitchy attitude cause as soon as someone catches on to how bad she talks you won’t hear her voice no more. with that said Natasha should have won. but she need classes and a personal trainer.

In every photoshoot, she went all out (i.e: cover girl in australia commercial, and when she dressed as a man). Jaslene is so annoying and isn’t pretty at all.

I can’t believe Jasleen won. SHE LOOKS LIKE A DRAG QUEEN. She’s so mannish. Her jawline is spooky. Her body resembles a praying mantis. That white bathing suit shot grosses me out she’s just way too skinny. I think Natasha is photogenic, has a great attitude and takes gorgeous pictures. Very discouraging.
