Hey, I was looking at the eligibility requirements, and it says that you have to have

” Legible copies of your: 1) United States passport and driver’s license; OR 2) social security card and birth certificate ”

It seems weird to me that they would want two forms of photo ID OR two forms of other ID. Does anybody know what’s up with this?

hey wussup..i’d try out for the last americas next top model cycle 10 last year, i sent in a tape, but i didn’t get my chance to meet the producers or even gotten a phone call..so i was choosen…but this year, i m going to the auditions in person instead of sending in a tape, that is the best way to do it..go see them the producers in person…i would like to know where the producers will be at in those states that they will be in…what is the address on where the auditions are taking place in those states…

I just wanted to say that I love America’s Next Top Model, but I am just a little frustrated with the fact that they will allow plus size models on to the show yet they won’t allow a petite or shorter model on the show. I have a couple friends who model and they are of a smaller stature and there are modeling contracts for them! I feel that we should have the opportunity to compete also!

Honestly,If poeple have such big problems with the requirements then you should just realize that this competition isnt for you.
Tough love but the producers and Tyra have a vision abt what their perception of Americas Next Top Model should be and they are obviously sticking to that.
By all means,power to you ,but if your complaining about you being too short,male or not old enough and the rules have yet to change then that means they arent changing anything.

Hey everyone!
I’m sensing a little hostility on this page…let’s all just take a deep breathe and remember we all feel like we are here for the same reason: because we want to make it on America’s Next Top Model, and for some even win it! I must say there is a lot of confusion in the air about auditions and video tape admission…if you go over the eligibility requirments and application ALL the answers are right there…no worries! I auditioned for cycle 6 & 7 in New York City…mind you I’m from Rhode Island so I know how frustrating it is to be waiting for the dates and times…if we’re all patient…we’ll all get there at some point!
Good Luck to EVERYONE…each year the producers are looking for something TOTALLY different from the last…it’s luck of the draw…you either got it or you dont!
HOPEFULLY someone on this page can go on to tell the story of being on the show…

I think they are starting to cast now. My sister was approached by a casting assistant at USC yesterday, and asked if she was interested in trying out for the Cycle 11. She got a business card and the email address on it is AmyLCasting@gmail.com.

My sister said it looked legit.

hey, I was reading the requirements for auditioning and I was wondering about something.

it says that the applications must be turned in with a tape by february 22 or something like that, but that you can also/instead try out at an open casting call.

well, if I don’t want to send in a tape, and things must be turned in next month, how do I go to the open casting call?

Maggie – the dates/locations for the open calls haven’t been posted yet, but when they are, all you have to do is show up at the place and time listed with everything listed in the eligibility requirements, except the tape. You only need the tape if you’re mailing an application.

I just wanted to inform some of you ladies. They have castings besides the ones in the larger cities like New York and L.A. Sometimes they show the dates at the end of the show when it comes on TV. I just went to one in Florence Indiana at the Belterra casino, and there were over 200 girls there.

Deidre- I say try out anyway, I talked to this guy that does casting for ANTM (I’m only 5′2) I asked him what I could do since I’m so short.. he said if the judges like you they can do whatever they want. There have already been a few girls on there that were 5′5, you could be next.

She meant that if i wore heels and they took the height that the heels added into consideration, I still wouldn’t be tall enough. Read the comment! And don’t you dare treat me like I’m an idiot. A try never hurts. If I’m too short well, I’m too short. So what. And what about Kate Moss there hunny, she’s a whole 5′6.5″. She’s 1/2 an inch too short! Granted that not 3 inches too short, but proves my point, a try never hurts! Now get off my damn cases and quiting hatin’ because I’m “too short” to be a model!

Umm Peopl who still a talking abt th height requirements- Why are u people comparing urselvels to Kate Moss.Ok so what if shes 5′6 she actually has talent.Some of you are tying out for ANTM and you have nothing going fo urselves and some are a bit quite ugly,sad to say.Its not always abt the “height”.

Looks like I have been missing some things. I have been a bit busy and havent been able to check the site for new comments.. In my own opinion and not to be stepping on anybodies toes but I feel like even if i did have a height restriction, I would still try out. I mean it would hurt anyone and even though it is a requirement to be at least 5′7″, I would still try. It also said on the page that the producers are looking for new things so whos to say that it cant happen. To all the short people, no offense, I say go for it cause something good just might happen. Cause even though ya ll don’t make the height requirement, Im pretty sure the passion for it is just as big as mine and im 5′11″…….

yes they want u to attend the open calls and send in all the required information if u guys read the requirements closely. The information is listed step by step. The only thing is if u mail in your video tape then u do not need to bring it to open calls.

if you have the wires, you can hook your camera up to a VCR and just press play on the camera and record on the VCR-make sure you have a VHS tape inside the VCR…if you dont have the wires to hook the camer up to the VCR you can get them at Radio Shack or Best Buy or a Ciruit City for like 20 bucks

The best informaion I could give is to go ahead and go to one of the local calls they are having, because under the requirements it had open calls are subject to change under producers discretion so u guys might want to go with whats already listed just to be sure that u dont miss out. On my application package I put code 4 for Miami Florida but the only open calls I see for Florida is Gainesville so I guess I will attend that one cause I refuse to wait until the last minute and end up missing out. SMILE and everyone one calm down if it’s meant to happen for you guys it will happen one way or another so for now GOOD LUCK ladies!!!!!!

Hi everybody, this is Krista in Detroit, MI. I’ve been trying to get the audition info for Michigan since January, then I gave up for a little while and just checked the CW site TODAY and found out the auditions are right in Downtown Detroit on SATURDAY! I’m so glad a didn’t check next Thurs bc seriously i would be in tears. I went to the audition last year in Lansing, MI which was seriously crazy! It was at a club and after an hour ofd standing in line they told everybody if they didn’t have ID and pictures they couldn’t get in. So everyones scrambling trying to find a Kinkos or a library, needless to say my two tips are 1)BE PREPARED! You don’t want to have a good place in line only to be told you cant get in. 2) COME EARLY! There were 300+ girls there, i come at 7:00 p.m. (started at 8) and didn’t get seen until 2:30 A.M. By that time they were seeing people for like 15 seconds. Good luck to everyone and hopefully I will see you on T.V.!!!

Okay this is how it worked for me in 2005 when i tried out for antm. It was an open call you show up at the time expected and when you get their expect two things a long line and about two to four hours of waiting time depending on when you get their. You will have a number and they will take you in sections….one into a room of where their is a video discussing the show and or thry discuss the procedures…you hand them your application they take you and about a few rows into a room where they are sitting at a desk and they have a camera, ask you to tell the camera as they go around what your name is, hieght, weight and age and than once they are done going around they than tell you to wait a few mins while they look thru the apps and than a few seconds later..really they announce the ones that will be moving on and I dare you not….it is one of the most dissappointing momments you will face if not chosen because you will stand their asking yourself how on earth they could go thru a stack of applications and find your top model in a matter of 1 min….yes ladies I am here to back you up once its doen and over because when I was thru…because i am tall..had people coming up to me in disbelief and i tell you it is really for ratings and for character on the show..they look for a particular type of person when they get to your city and so it makes it really unpredictable on what they are looking for…I wish you all the luck in the world and let me know what happens please…=)
