  if you go to the cw website it gives you an update to the casting locations. but i have a question…for the locations that dont say the casting directors are going to be there, what does that mean that you dont audition? is it just a promotion?

My other question is that well I’m not 5′7″ but i have seen girls on the show before that aren’t 5′7″, should i even try to audition or will i just be turned away because of my height which is 5′5″?

  to meilsa: you don’t have to bring a video, but you do have to bring the application completely filled out, a head shot, a full body shot clothed, and a full body shot in a swimsuit, and your passport and drivers license.

  guys, chill out! They will keep everybody updated on the website as things approach the dates. Nobody reading this blog is going to have any information that you don’t already have in terms of the locations for the auditions or the times, or whether casting directors will or will not be there.

  Questions that people might know the answers to would be something that reflects on their past experience if they had auditioned before. I’m curious about how early people tend to show up because I don’t want to drag myself out of bed at 5 AM in a blizzard if I can show up at 8 and not have like, two thousand people backed up in the line already.

  Take deep breaths and rest assured that the CW is not going to leave everybody wondering, otherwise nobody would show up to the castings because they wouldn’t know where or when they were, and there wouldn’t be a show.

  why do you people keep asking the same questions over and over again? the only info that any of us have is from the cw website so you should all check there and find out for yourself. the only casting locations are the ones posted on the site and if they haven’t put up the time and place yet, they will as the date gets closer. just be patient and go to: http://www.cwtv.com/thecw/topmodel-cycle11-Casting

  i’m coming from south jersey and i have nervous too! i’m leaving my house around 5 am and getting there at 8. and the difference between the casting call with the casting director is that the process is more organized and the casting directors are who you want to meet. and the local calls only the cw staff is there and that casting is unorganized and you do not get to meet the casting directors unless you win at the casting.

  OK Girls, I went to Dallas this past weekend and let me tell you…. Everything I heard on here didn’t help me one bit! Something tells me it will be the exact same in NYC. So they took 75 of us in a room and lined us up against the wall shoulder to shoulder. They passed a mic around and all we were allowed to say was Name, age, height, weight…not a word more. The casting director said since there were so many girls they were making the first cuts on that info alone. So she called out 5 #s and that was it. All the girls called back were under 22…Now height didn’t make a difference from what I saw! There was a gorgeous girl in front of me that was 6 foot and I was SURE she made it and she did not! I was so SHOCKED!
  I have a feeling they know exactly what they are looking for. There was only 1 girl I saw that I was like WHA??? but other than that the other girls that were chosen stood out. One have big blonde curly hair.

  So fair warning…if its a BIG casting call you better STAND out because you won’t even get a chance to show your personality if you don’t.

  Good luck girls! It was fun and I would totally do it again but maybe in a smaller town even if the casting director was not there.

  hey gurls dont worry , Ive been to an open call it’s only 2-3 mins they ask you 2 questions and ask for your walk and you do not need a videotape you need a pic of yourself if you dont have one they will just take a picture of you SIMPLE

  Don’t freak…just be yourself. I would no matter what wear something you would normally wear.

  Just some thoughts…
  The 5 girls chosen in my group had their hair down. Also about 80% of the 75 girls had the same thing on; Skinny jeans and a black or white tank and heels, so I would suggest something other than that but thats up to you! Keep in mind…you still want to come across classey and yourself.

  Hey Ashley,
  I think most were wearing jeans but dressy tops…not just a tank. The girls were all average height, I would say 5′7-5′9. They passed on a beautiful 6 foot tall girl in my group so…who knows what they want. I don’t remember big accessories. I think they honestly looks at you once and makes a decision that quick. Just speak clear and follow their directions.

  Yes I would bring a photo copy of all your Id’s b/c if you get to the next round they will need it.
  AND FILL YOUR APP OUT BEFOREHAND!!! If you are prepared when you get there its easier to have fun and enjoy the experience. Oh and don’t forget your 3 photos…there were many girls who didn’t have any and I’m guessing that the casting director probably took a quick look at those before we even entered the room.

  ashley: i am signed with an agent and when i went to the SF auditions i gave them all of my personal info, i would rather them contact me than my agent.
  kelly and kristy: after i auditioned they said that if i made the cut i would be hearing from them mid to end of may by phone. so it’s a pretty long wait.

  I went and all I have to say is be UNIQUE If you look diff from the other gurls you will stand out more Show yourself through your clothes and how your hair is done GOOD LUCK

  Does anyone know if the casting directors get a chance to look at your pictures and written application if you went to a casting call with no casting directors present? Or do they just see your video?

  how do we know who made cycle 11 all the auditioning is over is there a specific website that we go to to see who all made the cut do they email you or send you something in the mail i am anxious to know does anyone know how to find out and the best time to look

  Okay ladies, I went to an audition in STL and u betta make sure u get there pretty early because they have a limit to the amount of girls they are willing to audition in each city: they also have a set amout of girls they are choosin in each city, like they only chose one girl from STL!

  ANother thing is you have to have your I.D. and social for proof that you’re a citizen, you also have to have three pictures, a black and white headshot, a full body shot with clothes and a bikini! And if ur not 5′7, they don’t even allow u to audition! they make u take ur shoes off, so I strongly advise all u short ladies to put sumthing under ur socks!

  i wonder why each person seems to have a different audition story. In Binghamton all we did was walk down a run way they took a shot of us from the front and each side then the back then we talked on a video tape and answered their questions. Then they told us to go home. No one was asked to stay we were just told we would be contacted later. There were tons of short girls who were able to audition when I was there, and only about 40% of us had photos… in which case they just tossed in a yellow folder with our name on it.

  Hi Ladies:

  I went to the casting call yesterday in Miami Beach…I got there a little bit before 8am and stood in the same place for about an hour until they moved us into the hotel and around the pool area…once we got into a room we filled out another paper with just basic info…then from there we went into a room where we stood heel to toe with the girl in front/behind you! They passed the MIC around the room where you stated your name, age, height, and weight and that only…they did ask a few girls to stay but I’m not sure if they were asked to stay b/c they were accepted or b/c they had to redo their speech…afterall the one girl who stayed back had RED hair dye all over her face…but then again who knows…they did mention that the final decision is up to Miss Tyra and another girl I met there had auditioned previously and she says that they call you to say whether or not you made it and that call should be sometime during mid maybe ending of April. All I can say is when you have the MIC in your hand speak clearly and only say what they ask you for! Good luck…hope this helps!!!

  the best thing to wear to an antm castings are slim fitting pants or jeans and a tank top. Nothing bulky. No dresses. Oh and bring heels! The want to see your shape! No prints, patterns or words. And dont wear white, bright pink, red, or grey because it doesnt look that great on camera. Dont over do it! Less is more! Show ur personality and be yourself! Your personality will have to make you stand out! And if you have cool hair that is a plus!!!

  I went to the madison audition and it went fast. we were in and out. they had you go in a room with the producers and say your name, age, and where you were from. they asked you why you wanted to be america’s next top model and asked you to walk. then you were done! they said you would get a call by the end of may if they liked you and if you dont get a call you probably werent picked. the only negative thing is the distance for your walk was really really short. other than that i think it went well. you just had to show personality in the few seconds you had with the mic!

  If you were to get picked they would have let you know that day. It is like rounds..if you get asked to stay that is a good thing. Usually you will find out if you made it to the semi-finals with in a couple days and they will let you know in person. If you sent in a tape they would have called you to audition in one of the cities. You would have a little advantage over the other 1000 open casting girls. So basically if you havnt heard anything yet..its probably not going to happen :(

  That’s complete bull (the comment above me.) The producers are not allowed to make call backs until they have looked through EVERY application. The girls who got “called back” on the open audition days got another chance at being seen, that does not mean that they are going to make it- they just got more camera time then the rest. Models who were on the show (like Naima) even said they had to wait MONTHS before they got the call back to go to LA. SO pay no attention to the comment above- every girl has a chance. & if the call is coming (rumor says) it will be either later this month or the next.

  So if you went to an audution where they told us before it started that we could leave after our audition then we should be expecting a phone call? No one was asked to stay or told they had a “call back.” We walked on a runway, they took three shots of us then we answered questions while being video taped then told to leave. So if I am being considered for the next round I would recieve a letter or something?
