Adrianne Curry Disses Tyra Banks
The Surreal Life’s, Adrienne Curry is no fan of Tyra’s. The Top Model winner has gone on the record with Playboy as saying that Tyra is “really mean”, and like “Jekyll and Hyde”.
Curry continued, “She can be the sweetest person in the world, but once that camera is off, she’s Naomi Campbell, in your face.”
The 23-year-old was the original winner on Banks’ ‘America’s Next Top Model’ reality series. Since the show ended, Curry hasn’t been shy about complaining that Banks and the show’s producers didn’t help her win modeling contracts.
Whoops. Hope Nicole has a better experience.

Ok, well I’ve seen the show just recently. Before the show I can tell that Tyra can be a sweet heartfelt person. And Yes, I’m sure she has a nasty side to her. But listen up…When you check her birthday. You’ll know why. She is very much a ‘Firey’ lady. And when she ‘believes’ she is correct or challenged she can get pretty um “nasty… gurl!” She does have a warm heart felt side that is full of compassion (just doesn’t appear so) Watch out world! if she for a moment find someone against her or negative towards her she can get pretty HOT! LIke Naomi? Well I just think ppl feel when they have ‘the power’ they can knock those down who challenge them. (in fear of losing the power?) As for any who is trying to deal with pressure to keep that ‘Paycheck’ coming. Ok I think that Tyra Banks Is an amazing person and she Is a beautiful model, probably one of the best, but I think she did kinda screw Adrianne over by promising something that never happened for example the contract with Revlon. Adrianne out of all the winners has gotten the shit end of the deal maybe Its because she was the first top model I dont know regardless of all that I think they are both great women even though they are complete opposites when It comes to there personalities either way they have one thing In common they are both FIERCE~ With that said they should just end this fued.

i know adrianne. im her cousin. she won ANTM, supposed to get a one year contract from Revlon. didnt get it. Revlon backed out. No money. No nothing. wasnt even cast in any modelling agency. None of the judges (including Tyra) did anything for her.
The contract stated that at any time, the contestants/winner might not get anything at all.
Of cos we knew about this little fine print after the season ended. But hey, i guess thats TV business bullshit for ya! So any stuff that Adrienne has been doing, is on her own, by her self. Yeah! of cos she was pissed. Wouldnt you? But in a way, the only thing ANTM help her was put her face out there. Thats all. the rest she did on her own.

Ladies and gentlemen all it is Adrienne is upset that Tyra and the gang did not come through with the Revlon contract that was promised to her. It seems Tyra didn’t even contact her to brief her about the whole situation and what she needs to do. Remeber she was new to the whole modelling world. Adrienne in some ways reminds me of Janice I believe she was telling the truth about the whole situation. Listening to this matter has made me question Tyra’s character. I realise now that all it’s just a reality show and Tyra is the brainchild of the show. Just another business Person like Mr. Simon Cowell. The differnce is that Mr. Cowell made that very clear to the whole world. From watching the E-True Hollywood story of the show,I realise now that it’s really up to the girl’s even the winner of the show to make things happen for themselve’s. I hope ‘E’ plays the story at least another six times for the year. Toccara was right about everything she said you realise this now when you think back about every statement that was said to her on the show. I realise that they were flamming straight through with her. They all knew that they accepted her into the contest knowing that they themselves did not want a plus size top model yet. The only person who was honest about the this fact from the beginning was Ms. Janice Dickerson but even she would switch the next week like a tornado out of no where.

Hmmmm lets see, Naimi always guest stars on the show looking really depressed, Nicole is not doing much because please have you seen the lame “My life as a covergirl” skits she looks so dead pan and Adrienne doesn’t do much nowadays and neither does the other winners. The original winner from season one hosts a show and doesn’t even do much modeling anymore. Yeah really sucessful models!
Tyra and crew are in it for the money because it’s pretty obvious winning this show is not a dream but a curse. And they kick off the girls who have the most potential alot of the time for bull shit reasons, and leave the lame ones, aka Jayla, in it till the near end. It’s all about he drama really, thats what it comes down to, selling the drama of the show. Tyra doesn’t give a damn about who has the most model potential she just wants her money and fame.

Why are people talking like, ” Tyra only cares about Tyra! She doesn’t care about these girls” like they’ve had a conversation behind closed doors with her? Adrianne was just pissed off because she had really high expectations and they maybe didn’t pan out. It was the shows first cycle, how did they even know people were gonna watch it and therefore how could they get ” huge” contracts for the girls? They couldn’t! If Tyra was really such a bitch and mean to the girls I’m sure more of them would have stepped up about it. The only thing Tyra seems to have against Adrianne is that she didn’t try for her career like Eva did. Tyra even admitted she felt bad Adrianne felt the way she did. I don’t think Adrienne lied and i also don’t think Tyra is a bitch; what i think is that nobody thought the ANTM show would become as famous as it did and the prizes weren’t as serious as they are now; Revlon did miss out here and they probable are kicking themselves about it too.
It most likely wasn’t the fault of the ANTM producers/judges/Tyra herself but it would have been nice it they had been clearer about it afterwards.
Adrienne as far as i know doesn’t hate Tyra personally at all and IS grateful for the oppurtunities that came through ANTM, but she wasn’t happy about the whole ‘fake prizes’ thing and she didn’t shut up about it, and why would she?

No one would know who Adrianne is if it wasn’t for Top Model. If she didn’t get a modeling contract, it may be beause they realized she is not classy enough and articulate enough to represent a major modeling company. Tyra spoke to her numerous times during that season about speaking properly and improving her diction. Just because she won doesn’t mean she could sit back and let them do all the work. It was up to her to step up to the plate and represent herself properly. They didn’t see that so I don’t blame them for not wasting time on her.
They must have been right because what has she done? Instead of improving herself, she went on a series of reality/attention grabbing shows instead of focusing on her modeling. She’s not about anything other than looking for fast fame.
Anyone who can bite the hand that got them recognition is an ungrateful #$%!@ .

Its sad that someone, namely Adrienne is given an opportunity and throws it away. NO ONE hires someone who “disses” the boss. Tyra can set up the appointment, walk you to the door and give you a 10 star recommendation. If you, namely, Adrienne can’t pull it off its on her. This is regardless of what she or anyone else thinks of Tyra. She needs to own up to her deficiencies. And then to move in with a man old enough to be her daddy. Adrienne Curry needs to stop being so ungrateful, had it not been for Tyra, she wouldn’t even be famous because Tyra created the ANTM. Even if what she says about Tyra is true, you have to remember that Tyra is a human and not some perfect superior being. Everyone has there off and on days.

tyra is the worst type of person there is. and you want to know what that is? a person who does nice things for the GLORY and PRAISE it will win her. i find it hilarious how she is so good at passively being an egomaniac. she likes to “teach” these girls something by talking about herself for 23423 hours and how much she had to go through. tyra is just trying to simply take the next step in her career and become the next oprah. the only problem is oprah genuinely helps people out of goodness. tyra does it so she can be lavished by others about how good of a person she is and how shes been through such “tough times” and all the other crap she sneakily talks up about herself.

None of us knows what really goes on when the ANTM cameras are off. Most people in show business are very insecure, so it’s no wonder that they’re fake - they want to please other people (modeling agency, director, producer, etc.) and they lose their genuine self in the process. I was a big fan of the show, UNTIL the first episode of Cycle 9, when Tyra exploited several of the contestants by revealing painful incidents from their past on national television (i.e., asked one girl to “talk about” how she was molested as a child). How despicable! Her show is wildly successful, there no need for her to resort to “TV ratings whore” tactics such as this…

Adrienne is hott! Tyra is a fake b**ch. She always turns things about others back to herself. She is concieded and I think it is funny that people were calling her FAT! She definetly dosen’t look like a super model anymore!!!! She fake cries on those shows of hers. And Adrienne could have made it on her own if she would have tried that way instead of getting on a reality show.

Everyone knows Tyra Banks is fake, but Tyra gave her loads of shit at her expense, and just coz Adrianne was too shit to actually work hard to keep up her modelling career she thinks it’s Tyra’s fault. Winning ANTM doesn’t automaticly make you a huge super successful supermodel, it just gives you some contracts and a cover shoot. It’s not Tyra’s fault Adrianne couldn’t be assed to work hard enough.

This show is total bullshit. It has not produced any top models. I’ve never seen them in the covers of Vogue or Marie Claire or in big fashion campaigns (Valentino, Versace, etc) or in Paris fashion week, or even in Victoria’s Secret. This show only makes money for Tyra.

Tyra is a bitch. The funny thing about ANTM is that I get the feeling that the show is kind of about Tyra. Like she’s having all these girls try to become America’s next top model and criticize there every move, saying this is how i would do it or showing them physically, so she can brag to the world no one can be like her; she always does things the best. I don’t know why she has to sometimes go to the shoot and start taking pictures too. it’s like she can’t help it she wants to be in the limelight still. On her Tyra Show, it was during black history month, and she kept talking about herself comparing herself to big icons like martin luther king jr. because she was “the first black model that made guys feel comfortable about being attracted to black girls”. that is so fucked up because whatever she’s done in her lifetime is not even on the same scale as dr. martin luther king jr. there’s many other famous black girls like beyonce that is also known and beautiful to many men. Tyra also had a black model come to her show that was famous on her own and was getting more famous, you know what she said to her, ” I helped paved the road for you and many other black female models” blah blah. like wtf? she called this model on the show so she can brag and say that she can take credit for this model’s success? tyra is a crazy bitch. she’s in her own world where she is perfect in mind, character, logic, and looks. however, this bitch needs to realize people can see through her fakeness. the show is not to help people it’s to help herself and when it’s off camera’s she can give two shits about you or Adrianne in this case. also it’s not only Adrianne that think Tyra is a phoney watch on E they have a show on it. If you watch Adrianne on interviews with Chelsey Lately and E and Surreal life you can tell she totally speaks her mind. And for whomever that says she has a baritone/monotone voice it’s false her voice may be baritone and low but it’s definitely not monotone. At least she’s not like paris hilton trying to speak in a higher feminine voice and sounds fake. YOU guys know what i mean there’s always that girl that makes her voice mousy and high but then when she’s drunk or pissed off sounds like a man. LMAO Adrianne could give two shits what her voice sounds like or being a fake ass loser that’s not genuine.

Ok first of all, why are u guys all calling Tyra a bitch and saying that she’s fake? You have never met her! You have no idea wat she’s like in real life! Oh and Nat this show has porduced SO many top models! Elyse from season 1 is traveling the world doing modeling jobs, Danielle from season 6 was in a worlwide diamond ad and so was Adrianne, and I’ve seen Eva Pigford and Toccaro Jones from season 3 in King Magazine!!!

First of all, I strongly believe that Tyra is a sweet & geniune person, but of course she has her times where she’s going to snap. We all have our freak-outs, want to go ahead and tell me you don’t? Big deal - Tyra tells them how they should try something a different way & most of them curl up in a little ball, and cry. That’s real mature. Secondly, Adrianne seeks attention. She lives for it. She will say anything about anybody as long as it keeps the glamour, spotlight, and fame in arms reach. I don’t doubt that she’s lying about Tyra being rude to her - not one bit. I can see it happen. Of course she’s not as nice as you see on ANTM. That’s why some wise guy called it television. You think these hopeful models are what you see, either? Not a chance in hell. It’s all fake. Other than the fact that Tyra doesn’t help them - obviously it’s true that she’s more in it for the money. But if they’re good enough, they will be discovered considering they are on national television. Adrianne also said that ANTM / Tyra didn’t help her get modeling contracts. The hell they didn’t. If it wasn’t for Tyra, and this show, nobody except her mother would know her name.

Oh for crying out loud. Business is business. I’d be pissed as hell if I didn’t get what I was promised in a competition, but the fact is, if Revlon didn’t want her then there had to be a damn good reason for it. I don’t know either of these women personally, and it may very well be that Tyra is a total bitch when the camera’s off, but Adrianne has taken this to a whole new level. Everyone has a dark-side, everyone loses their temper and everyone has a “bitch” button. I personally think that people tend to forget that celebrities are NOT GODS! They are still human and thus they are fallible, in more ways than one. However, I have to say that Tyra has been able to handle herself with decorum, while Adrianne has been dragging herself through the mud in order to dirty up Tyra.

First, Tyra is definitely a self-centered person for her to honor herself during Black History month. I never heard of Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King Jr. come out and say, “I have a dream. Today I will honor myself for writing the best speech ever a Black person can write.”
ANTM did not work out the details of the contract for the first season. Also, they were unsure how the show would go. When Adrianne won, she was sent to agencies in Africa and Paris where ANTM didn’t even air and they didn’t know her.
Adrianne had some poorly delivered and undelivered contracts. She reported that Tyra and her people then didn’t come through for her. I would be upset too. But because Adrianne was outspoken enough to voice her disappointment, Tyra erased all references to Adrianne from her show.
Adrianne on the other hand explicitly writes in her myspace blog that she owes everything to her appearance in ANTM and said that she will keep a picture of Tyra on her site to thank the exposure ANTM gave her. And she also said that perhaps it is a blessing in disguise that she got nothing as rewards because it forced her to work really hard.
Adrianne is very down to earth and says whats on her mind. She has not gone around and slept with people. She is extremely faithful to her husband and she did not marry him for his money. They have a prenup. And for what its worth, I think Adrianne is too good for Chris Knight. The man has serious narcissistic issues.

I agree that Tyra is fake. When I watch top model, I can only take a few minutes of watching Tyra. I am glad that most of the show is about the models and Tyra only shows up here and there to play the Psychologist.
I know she has a sucessful career and she works hard but she get under my skin. When Tyra comes out to talk to the girls in the beginining of the show she looks like she is pretending to like them, that she is acting out her part, and how the girls are so excited to see her. But when they get to know Tyra, I can see the models feel diffrently.
Tyra was all that in her young career but now she is 35 she is getting fat and cocky. When I was 35 I looked way better then Tyra without all the hair weeves and make-up. Hell, now that I am 46 I still look better then her…At least I am thinner. I am amazed she wears those clothes. She has nearve wearing tight, short, too young crop shirts tight pant and skirts. She looks so uncomforable. Anyway you can disagree with me or not that is your choice but don’t try to change my mind about her.

Who knows the truth really… If you really think about it, why else would she sign a contract with playboy if she really got her prize from the ANTM? You don’t see the later winners from cycle 2 thru 9 moping about TYRA. Jaslene seems to be doing fine herself. Adrianne is just the unfortunate winner and she had the same situation as Canada’s Next Top Model cycle 1 winner… They both DID NOT get their money. These girls spend so much just to compete. The later cycles got better… So far… Cycle 10 gave out clothes and purses. So Tyra learned from cycle 1, which had the low classy setting.

I almost forgot to add that the show really improved. I like both Adrianne and Tyra and really this is their feud. Both people found their own places in the spotlight. Tyra, whether she’s real or not, she is still making money, and she could care less of what anyone thinks. As for Adrianne, she found her calling, which is to pose for Playboy and do reality TV shows, its not like she’s suffering.

I don’t know, I guess because they took hold of their own careers. As for the other winners they seem to disappear after they win. Maybe there may be some grain of truth to what she says. As for Tyra she’s pretty much trying to build and empire without much formal education. I would not put it past her to step on one or two people.
